Review Time
The promised review and company formation have not been completed, despite several assurances that we would receive updates by email. We are no longer being called back or contacted via email. The completion date keeps getting postponed without any consultation, even though we paid for formation within a specific timeframe. The file has supposedly been under review by the notary for quite some time, but I no longer believe that it was ever submitted to the notary. Disappointing!
If you're planning to incorporate a new company, stay away from these guys. Firm24 has been the most incompetent company I’ve dealt with in recent years. They completely wasted my time, only to later tell me they couldn’t help with the incorporation. The notary they work with, VG Notarissen, was equally unprofessional and unresponsive throughout the process. If you're an international citizen trying to open a Dutch BV, save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere. This was a disappointing experience from start to finish.
After trying several times to change the statutes through firm24 they bluntly lied saying that they don't have any notary available to do this job even after I had contacted the notary myself and they said they'd do it. Firm24 is not reliable and they don't care for their customers. --------------------------------------Reply to the comment from Firm24:Hi D. Gomes,We are sorry to read about your experience. As we have communicated before, Firm24 does not handle changes to statutes for foundations, as this falls outside our scope. We clearly informed you of this at the end of the year.Additionally, you specifically requested to work with the notary office where you completed the incorporation through our platform, but as mentioned, this is not something we facilitate. You were free to work with the notary directly, but insisting on doing so through us was unfortunately not possible. We strive to provide clarity and transparency about what we can and cannot offer. We regret that this has caused frustration on your end.Kind regards,Thomas - Firm24-------------------------------Hi Thomas,Again, that was never communicated. once again you're lying in a public platform. After trying the first time in December 2024 with one notary, Damsté Amsterdam, you very clearly stated then that Firm24 only worked with two notaries, to which in March 2025 became clear that that was not the truth when a second try were forwarded to Veen & Veste in Enschede and then Veenoord, and in between another notary. Also, you say that I "specifically requested to work with the notary office where you completed the incorporation" which is true, not only it was possible as you did transfer the case to them as well as they refused for the second time. When you say that you "strive to provide clarity and transparency" that is again not true as I was constantly not informed by any changes of the procedure and always had to find out by refreshing the procedure page and calling to the receptionist to hear again and again "the only thing I can do is to request a call back" which didn't happen for about 2 weeks. Your lack of care in your "customer care" it's shameful and disrespectful. So no, Thomas, it's not my frustration about the process and the services that Firm24 provides, but is the constant lying. This said, I do NOT recommend Firm24 to anyone!
Hey. I wanted to share my preliminary experience with Firm24 as I go through the process of establishing a company in the Netherlands with their assistance. Although they committed to completing the process within 20 working days and still have six days left, my experience so far has been far from smooth.(I am writing this in English to reach a broader audience, in het Nederlands kan ook)Before choosing Firm24, I conducted extensive research and compared their services with other providers, including direct notaries. Their pricing structure and positive reviews seemed attractive, so I decided to proceed. The initial application process was straightforward and interactive, and I had no issues. However, at the final stage, an unexpected charge of €121 appeared for what they deemed “necessary additional services.” This was due to my previous nationality (Russian)—even though I am a Dutch citizen for ages —as Firm24 classified Russia as a FATF high-risk country. This claim was factually incorrect—Russia has never been listed as a high-risk country by FATF. If Firm24 had simply labeled it as a “high-risk country” based on their own internal risk assessment, that would have been understandable. But referencing FATF was misleading and inaccurate. (And expensive). Firm24’s website prominently displays MasterCard, PayPal, and iDEAL as accepted payment methods. However, when it came time to pay, MasterCard was not an option—only PayPal and iDEAL were available.Since I wasn’t familiar with Firm24’s reputation (despite the positive reviews, which I now question), I chose PayPal for the added buyer protection. To my surprise, there was an extra 2,5% charge for using PayPal, which was not clearly stated upfront. On top of that, the invoice they issued was incorrect—they charged the PayPal fee twice. I had to contact them for a correction, which took a full week because they had to “check with their notaries.” This was surprising—if they work with partner notaries, why did it take so long just to confirm that fact? After they finally corrected the invoice and refunded the €121 fee, I expected the process to move forward. However, nothing has progressed since then.Firm24 states that it can take the full 20 working days, and that’s understandable. But with only six days left, there have been no visible updates to my application. They also claim that I should be able to see a preliminary establishment date in their system (from their terms and conditions) but nothing has appeared so far. Not sure if it would. Communication has been extremely poor: • I sent an email on 3 February, which was only answered on 21 February—18 days later! • I called twice, and both times I was told, I called twice, and both times I was told, “My colleagues will contact you”—but nobody ever followed up.This lack of responsiveness does not inspire confidence, especially when dealing with something as important as company formation.Final ThoughtsAt this stage, to be fair, I’m still waiting as 20 working days have not expired yet, and I will update my review once the process is completed. However, based on my experience so far, I would advise caution before choosing Firm24.If you’re considering their services, it might be worth contacting notaries directly. I personally reached out to 10+ different notaries, and the price difference between their direct services and Firm24 was about €170–€200. While Firm24 may appear more affordable, with a direct notary, you have clear communication and direct access—which can save you a lot of frustration.
Sure! Here’s a polished version of your review:I had a few questions about dissolving my BV’s, and Romeo was incredibly helpful. He knew exactly what information I needed and provided clear answers without me having to explain much. His knowledge and efficiency made the process much easier. Highly recommend!
