Datepicker doesn't work on their website. Can't book. Also they require you enter all of your details including 2FA for phone number before even seeing departure dates. And they require your passport number (for Swiss citizen, why?), which colorline doesn't, and their credit card input UI doesn't work with Chrome or 1Password saved credit cards. Honestly I think they've done very little actual testing of their website

Fjord Line coastal service between Stavanger and Bergen, and vice versa, is a travel alternative which can be recommended any time of the year. The views along the navigation fairway are gorgeous. The two vessels have all facilities for a comfortable journey, and the crew members see us travelers. In a scale from 1 to 10, 12 is my vote.
Lovely ferry, extremely well kept. Staff were very friendly. Sat in the buffet restaurant which was very comfortable and the food and drink well presented and good. The only minus aspect was that I did not realise the Fjordline berth was so far from civilisation so the walk into town was a revelation and at -11° (chill factor incl) a trifle cold! Not the end of the world though!!
We came on board in Stavanger we knew it would be a moving day with lots of waves so we got a cambin with sea view and it was just great to relax on the bed after sea was more quiet we went for a great morning breakfast onboard with a good value for money there was fresh fruit and all kind of meat so for us it was perfect.
