I used Barter (getbarter.com) to promote my storytelling workshops, and was honestly surprised how well it worked. I’ve done traditional ads before, but they never really “got” what I do — helping people tell personal and professional stories in a meaningful way isn’t easy to explain in a single post.But the creators I connected with through Barter got it. A few even joined a workshop themselves, and made super authentic, thoughtful content that really resonated. It felt like word-of-mouth, but online.The platform takes a bit of time to figure out, and I had some back-and-forth with creators at the start, but overall the quality was great and way more affordable than hiring an agency. I’m already seeing people sign up saying “I saw you on Insta through that reel!”If you're running something a bit niche or personal, like coaching or workshops — I’d 100% say try it.
