I’m really happy with my experience using Barter as a platform.
Even though my first collaboration didn’t go as smoothly as expected due to delays from the brand, Barter handled the situation very well. They took responsibility, communicated clearly, and made sure everything was resolved in the end.
I appreciate that they genuinely support creators. If you deliver your part of the deal, they stand by you and help make sure things are handled fairly which gives a lot of trust and confidence when working with brands through the platform.
Overall, a very positive experience and I would definitely recommend Barter to other creators!

Great app for finding collaborations! Signing up is quick and easy, and the platform makes it simple to connect with brands. Communication is fast and smooth, which makes working together really convenient. Definitely a great tool for for new partnerships.
In the demo they showed hundreds of creators responding to adverts. This was a flat out lie, one of many that I would then experience.During he trial period we had a sum total of two creators interested with a total follower count of just a few thousand. Really disappointed I cancelled the trial and asked them to confirm that I would not be charged. They confirmed - lie number 2. We were charged full price for a terrible service that was miss sold.After repeated contact with no response they finally answered and said they would process the refund today. Lie number 3.Two weeks later still no refund. Their reason - the only person who can press the refund button hasn't been in. Can't prove it but suspect this is lie number 4.Three weeks later they claimed that they would process the refund by the end of the day again. Lie number 5.Raised as a chargeback with the bank as they clearly have no intention of giving the money back as well as reporting the transaction.Do not give this company the time of day. Their service is garbage, they are deliberately misleading new customers with false claims about their ability to deliver. They will lie and lie again whilst fraudulently charging you for services you don't want and then refuse to refund even when they admit they are at fault.
One of the owners painted a great picture of Barter. This was a major disappointment for us. Low-quality participants, slow or no responses from creators, products returned because people ended up not having time, expensive products sent out where one creator ultimately delivered nothing. We reported this to Sam from Barter, but nothing could be done other than reporting the person. Late responses from Barter when issues were raised. Do not start Barter!! You are better off searching on your own, because Barter claims to guarantee results, but they do not stand behind anything. A huge disappointment for the money spent.
I feel obligated to warn people about Barter. I consider it a scam until they prove otherwise.We've signed up for the free trial which turned into over $300 per quarter. However, the funny part is... there is no way to cancel your subscription via the subscriptions page. Only by googling it you get to a FAQ page that says to email them to cancel, however they do not reply or confirm.They have continued to withdraw money from us every quarter for the past 3 quarters at over $1000
Not great in the UK. Their user base is in the Netherlands and Flemish-speaking Belgium.They say they vet the creators but 90% were irrelevant and of those who were, 50% ghosted us after receiving the product with no consequence to them but loss to my business.Also their subscription model is misleading. They said I could just sign up for 3 months to try and I would only be charged after I post my first deal, which was fine. 3 months later they charged me again for another 3 months but by then I had no use for the service as they don't have a lot of UK content creators, be it perhaps in my niche, but regardless, the service was not suitable for my company. There was no button option to cancel on their platform, only to upgrade so I assumed it was because i only signed up for 3 months. Well how wrong I was, they rolled the subscription over and when I asked for a refund as I was not expecting this charge, there was no reminder or email that would have encouraged me to think otherwise than my contract was just 3 months, they ignored my request and just confirmed that my contract was cancelled. But in 3 months time. so Now I have lost £300+ for a service they renewed without prior notice and for which I have no use for.DON'T SIGN UP UNLESS YOU ARE IN THE NETHERLANDS, it's pointless in the UK and they have scamy practices, dark UX n their site and the platform is subpar compared to UK competitors.
