I am really pleased with the Visa benefit (1GB or 5GB for 15 days) because the service works exceptionally well! I've used it in various places like Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Thailand. I’m excited to also purchase it for cruises and will continue to use it even without the complimentary mini-plans from my credit cards. It's fantastic that it simply functions when you arrive in any of the over 200 countries included in the service! Additionally, I appreciate that when I reached out to the support team, I received a helpful response within 24 hours.
The service worked well for me until it unexpectedly disappeared, along with my remaining data. I had about 0.6 GB left, and suddenly, it was all gone with no trace of the redemption. It felt like it vanished into thin air. Fortunately, I was traveling home and could rely on free Wi-Fi at airports and the hotel, but it was very frustrating. Up until that moment, I had experienced minimal issues with data coverage and usage.
Purchased a data plan for my cruise with claims that it works at sea. The plan never worked at sea only in port or close to port. I could’ve saved much more money by purchasing a roaming data plan through my wireless company at $5 per day. Please don’t purchase this plan or you will be very upset. Check with your wireless company first.
