My mum took out the cover while i was away, and when i came home for the holidays i realised i'd already bought the same cover last year as part of my home insurance, so we didn't actually need it. I was a bit worried about how it would be handled, but i called up and spoke to Shane and he was really
understanding.
He listened properly, didn't rush the call, and sorted everything out for us. The refund came through within 7 days. They did deduct a small amount, which was explained clearly, and that was fine. Really appreciate how they handled the situation and understood where we were coming from. Thank you so much.

I booked an appointment for a fridge freezer repair as it wasn't working properly. Targeted my elderly mother with cold call, asked irrelevant questions, misled her into thinking they were from British Gas. Then a letter arrives in the post claiming that a direct debit has been set up for cover even though no such agreement was made. Looking at the negative reviews this is not the first time this has happened.
Having power of attorney for my mother in law a vulnerable OAP in her 80s, we have just noticed a DD set up for £48 quarterly that she does not need.She received a cold call (phone) and after feeling pressured she gave in and said yes.This type of call must be illegal. UpdateGolden Dome have asked me to take this message down, I have called the company and asked for a refund, I was told this couldn’t happen.I’m happy to discuss this with them further but I’m not holding my breath!!
