My family and are on holiday in London, and we wanted to try one of Gordon Ramsays restaurants. My kids and I went to Maze Grill for lunch, and it was an expensive we won’t forget. It starter good and ended extraordinarily. Our server B.T. was a great server. He was polite with a twist of humor and a genuine willingness to give us the best experience during our lunch. It was a pleasure to be served by B.T. And if we ever return to London again and to maze grill, I will ask for B.T. as our server. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was beaming and we got a chance to say hi to the chefs in the kitchen and take a photo with them. The most exiting part was when Gordon Ramsay walked by and took the time to sit down with us, even though he was busy. We had a little chat and got our photo taken with him. My two youngest 8 and 11, is still star strike because of meeting him, and it’s been a couple of days ago. Great experience - wonderful to have met so many nice and wonderful people in just a couple of hours. Maze grill is so much recommended
At Heathrow, had a meal yesterday in Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant with the family of 5, couldn’t give Witherspoons a run for it’s money. More flavour in a pound of tripe.Daughter got the gluey, gloopy, pale noodles in a wishy washy coloured liquid (looked like bath water after you’ve steeped the family in it).We got the tomato and pepper soup (Tasted better soup in the Farm-food budget line), tasteless burgers in a look alike brioche bun with a lettuce leaf and fat sliced tomato and some keek at the bottom of the bun for good measure, even after putting a small bottle of ketchup and a ton of salt it was still awful Should be paying me £7.50 to sit down in a family of five and tipping me 15% to cover the sick bag.Would recommend a call to Hell’s Kitchen or even get Gino to give you some cook books.
The narrow restaurant: evening started out well with a nice greeter and friendly waitress. But food was simple and price by no means justified. No one asked about drinks orders after the initial cocktail and when we ordered ourselves it was clear they had forgotten as it took ages.Once the bill came it was incorrect ie too high, which was explained with not having a button on the register (?!) for the correct cocktail, which was on their menu…On top of that a 15% service charge was added to the bill - for terrible service. Never going back here, have had great experiences with other GR restaurants though
The staff were friendly and helpful and that was about as good as it got. Small dry burger, not what you'd expect eating in a place owned by a Michelin star chef, very disappointed, I've had better for half the price. Fries were very good. £16 for a burger, chips and drink would be fine in London but this was poor.
Edinburgh Bread Street Kitchen - Exceptional experience A big shout out to Katrina, Eduardo and Gwen for your kindness and and attentiveness. We had a delightful experience and the Beef Wellington did not disappoint. The gift of Tilly’s cookbook to our son was such a beautiful gesture, we are incredibly grateful. Thank you x
Plane Food - Heathrow Terminal 5Continuing drop off in customer service. Unwelcoming staff, over 15 mins to take order. Good good on this occasion but things have been overlooked on prior trip. Guy who took payment was abrupt, showed no interest to know why I didn’t want to pay service charge despite him being in a suit so assume manager role. Based on regular (every 2 months) visit - this place is no longer value for money or providing high customer service levels although good remains good.
Everything was excellent att the Savoy Grill except for the Beef Wellington, it didn't have much taste and it was completely raw.I have fotos that I will try to attach to my commentary. My company felt the same. I did not complain there because I didn't want to take down the ambient of the selebration of my son. He is a vegetarian but just because this was Gordon's signatur dish he asked for the Beef Wallington!!!The main reason for us to go to the Savoy Grill was to selebrate my sons masters degree at LSE and egoistic off me to have an opportunity to taste the world's best dish in the world!!I imagine that the cook was not at his best day, I can not imagine that Gordon would have axepteed this to get to our table.Everything else was superb, the service and the other 3 dishes, I have never tasted a better fish or oyster in my life but unfortunately the Beef Wellington put everything else down. I am not a cook, I am an amateur with love of cooking and I have never done a Beef Wellington but similar dishes.I have recently given a dich this undercooked and I felt ashamed for my achievement and promised my friends that next time it will be better, that was the first time that I served something not to my expectations and it was better than the Beef Wellington I got at the Savoy Grill. I really hope that the raw meat and very little condiments was a mistake and nothing that happens often. I have followed the programs and have cookbooks of Gordon and will go back to the Savoy. I am an amateur cook that loves cooking. At the age of 15 my oldest son told me when we were att a restaurant in Gotland, "daddy don't get sad but this is the first time that have eaten something better than your cooking"I got proud not upset.I composed my first dish att the age of 11 one year after my mom's death, I started cooking att the age of 7.So I know a little about cooking and seasoning and I am only a person, that is why I axept the Beef Wellington as a mistake and give for the overall experience and food quality a topp degree. I hope to be amazed next time. I know that what I experienced was not the dish Gordon has as his signatur dish! The fish shuffle was amazing and I am not a fan of fish except fresh grilled att my table. My JanssonMy fish soup with a mix of Safran, lemon and CremFrech on topp and lime sest. My recommendation is to go to Savoy and experience the best of best, every body is treated like princesses and kings 🤴. My sons girlfriend really enjoyed our visit att the Savoy and seeing how my son got happy seeing her smile so much, that's priceless. That is why it was worth it, even though the Beef Wellington wasn't upp to that good this night.
Liverpool One Restaurant The service was good but for me the menu was terrible. I am vegetarian. No longer a strange hippy concept. But nothing on the menu bar a quinoa super food salad cannelloni or celeriac steak🤢. The latter being my worst nightmare. The first two mundane and not worth the money. Eventually the waitress suggested a pepper side dish. When this arrived it was shrivelled green bitter cold greasy peppers. I ate 2 which were vile and continued to taste them for the rest of the day. You need to do better Mr Ramsay if you want to stay successful in an ever growing meat free population. Think also about your prices too as we all head into a cost of living crisis. I won't be returning and I will advise my veggie/vegan friends not to either.
Wow fantastic well presented food but let down by awful service which is such a shame as completely spoiled what would have been a great experience. Our service started really well but then as the restaurant filled we and 4 other tables were completely ignored to the point three tables next to us were left with their main courses uncleared for over 20 minutes without a waiter in site and eventually had to wave to attract attention. Our attempts to even pay and attract attention we’re equally not what you would expect in a GR restaurant, and a real shame after fantastic food and presented wonderfully. We visited for breakfast this morning and completed shambles, this time service was excellent food was superb but they got our food order wrong 3 times, then left the food we hadn’t ordered on the table until we asked for it to be taken away, cold milk for tea requested, hot milk arrived, 1 espresso ordered 2 arrived, avocado on toast ordered, crab cake and poached egg arrived and so it went on. Such a shame as the kitchen is wonderful, staff are extremely friendly but totally disorganised which is such a let down for what should be a great restaurant. Come on Gordon sort them out!
