Fake plugins, fake versions, fake excuses. In my experience, gpldownloads does nothing more than download items from other GPL sites (like Yukapo), then manually change the version numbers to make them look “updated.” After testing multiple plugins, it became obvious that the files were outdated, broken, or simply re-packed without any real updates. Everything about this turned into a complete nightmare.
Edit: To be absolutely clear — I am NOT talking about another domain or a different site. This is about gpldownloads only. The owner’s only response to negative feedback is to deny it and claim every bad review is “fake” or written by competitors. That excuse doesn’t hold up, especially since Trustpilot requires review verification. People had to prove their purchases, so these negative reviews are real.
Another edit: It’s also painfully obvious that most of the positive reviews are either bought or fake. Nearly all of them come from accounts with only one review ever posted, and — surprise — it’s a glowing review about this site. The pattern is impossible to ignore.
Instead of addressing real issues, the site owner chooses to argue, insult customers, and shift blame. This is not how a legitimate business operates. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend staying away.

I strongly advise against trusting the owner of Gpldownloads.com. I paid for a monthly subscription, but after downloading only four items in a short period of time, my account was suddenly terminated. This is the best GPL download site Ive come across. Ive been using it since 2021 and have always found the team helpful and supportive. The range of plugins and themes is great and I always get a response if I write and ask for something that is not available. That response is not always "Yes" but there was only 1 occasion that is wasn't and then there was an acceptable reason provided why the plugin could not be added.All in all I'm a very happy customer and have been for the last 4 years - I do recommend this site highly and have no hesitation in doing so
Never trust the owner of Gpldownloads.com. I paid him my monthly subscription, but I downloaded four items in a row, and then I got a email for account termination. No refund will be provided, and the owner was very rude when replying like a small child handling things on his father's behalf. Gpldownloads.com is a pure scam. Do not trust him, and he is not only operating one site but many GPL sites, so he doesn't care if you post anything wrong about it. But please stay safe and avoid getting scammed by this site owner.

Well...what can I say about this website? I first came across this site about 7 months ago when I was wanting some WordPress plugins. I subbed for 1 month on the basic package and got talking to the support guys on there, the plugins were all genuine and trustworthy which meant a lot to me. After about a week I decided to pay for a yearly group licence for a particular plugin which was unbelievably hard to come by on the net.This was installed very easily and hassle free and the support was so friendly and helpful, so much.....so they couldn't do enough for me to be honest. That left a lasting mark with me it really did. After I had got all my plugins sorted and updated on my website I discontinued my monthly plan leaving just the yearly group subscription remaining.7 Months later......I had migrated my website to another domain name and didn't realize this would have caused issues with that particular group shared plugin I'd bought off them (cheap too).So after realising this I created a ticket asking if this could be migrated across, shortly after sending the ticket I realized by reading the sites FAQs that this was not allowed, so I closed the ticket and didn't expect any help (fair is only fair and I respected this).Then to my surprise I was contacted by the amazing support staff and they offered to migrate the licence for Free! That's an unbelievably good service, I can't thank them enough I really cannot.Because of this I will be re-subscribing every quarter to update my WordPress plugins. I know you can scour the internet for dodgy free alternatives but you know what..when you can TRUST a solid supplier like this who charges pennies for their products and works extremely hard to provide such a service then we need to support these small businesses.This review is an honest and genuine reflection of my experiences with them Unlike some of the Scathing reviews I have seen on here about them! I don't Believe any of them at all because my review is time served with them and guess what I will be staying, WELL DONE guys keep up the good work! Amazing company!!
I don't leave reviews often, but I thought I had to do to the misleading negative reviews that are obviously fake from people breaking the rules or reselling.I first signed up to the service in 2019, so I have been a long member, and I can say that the owner has been nothing but nice whenever I needed to contact support, which is hardly ever. Mostly for version updates which were updated usally same day or next day.Inventory beats any other site out there.Keep up the good work.
