If I could give zero stars I would. You have to create an account and enter your payment details before you can view the meal options. DO NOT do this!
I did not place an order. I deactivated my account without placing an order yet I was still charged and had a useless box delivered to me (I am vegan and was delivered 2 meat options so it must have been the default selections that were delivered). How many others have fallen foul of this con! It needs sorting out.
I did get a full refund (as a gesture of goodwill 😤) when I contacted customer services but not without a lengthy discussion.

Signed up for a Green Chef trial but cancelled within the required timeframe and received written confirmation via their online chat that the order and subscription had been cancelled.
Despite this, Green Chef has repeatedly attempted to take payment from my bank account after cancellation. I have had to empty the account and involve my bank purely to prevent unauthorised payments being taken.
A company continuing to attempt payment after confirmed cancellation is completely unacceptable and extremely concerning. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to check cancellations carefully and monitor their bank accounts.
I encountered a situation similar to many others. I wanted to browse the menu but had to provide my bank details first. I thought it was harmless as long as I didn't proceed to order or check out, which I didn't. After deciding I wasn't interested, I canceled my subscription and received a message acknowledging my cancellation. However, later that night, money was withdrawn from my bank account. I was shocked and reached out to them, and they claimed they had processed a refund. My bank processes refunds instantly, but I still haven't received my money back. It's unfortunate that their refund process isn't as quick as their withdrawal. I mentioned that there must be others experiencing this issue, but I was told it rarely happens, despite the reviews suggesting otherwise.
Do not engage with this company! After a representative visited my home claiming it was a sister company offering premium meals, I signed up. This was clearly misleading because as soon as I enrolled, I discovered additional charges for certain items, just like with another similar service. Despite my initial optimism, after selecting my meals and confirming, they processed my payment over 10 days before delivery and then canceled my order the very next day! I contacted the support team for a refund and provided proof of payment, yet they insisted 'no money has been received and you must dispute with your bank.' The customer experience was abysmal and seems to be a recurring issue for others as well. I am thoroughly disappointed.
I canceled within 10 minutes of signing up, just four days before my first box was scheduled. To my dismay, they still attempted to charge me for the canceled box and subscription days later. I have no intention of doing business with such an untrustworthy company. The website is also overly complicated and not user-friendly. There are fewer options and it's pricier than competitors. Overall, I can't recommend this company based on my experience.
