I had a very disappointing experience purchasing a refurbished phone through this Marketplace seller.
The device was sold as being in “excellent condition,” but the first phone arrived faulty. After going through troubleshooting and returns, I was sent a replacement — which was also faulty (microphone failure). As a result, I was left without a working phone for over a month while trying to resolve the issue.
Throughout the process I felt the burden was placed on me to repeatedly prove the faults and wait through lengthy procedures, despite the problems existing from the start. Communication was polite but slow, and resolutions took far longer than expected for what should have been a straightforward consumer guarantee issue.
I understand faults can happen with refurbished devices, but receiving two defective units and being without a usable phone for such an extended period was extremely frustrating.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not purchase from this seller again.
Poor quality product, zero accountability, and terrible customer service. I contacted them first to advise them of the issues I was having, then had no choice but to pay £170 for a battery replacement as I was overseas with no working phone.The technician found the original battery appeared second-hand and even had metal left inside, causing overheating and the screen lifting. Still not fixed.Green Gadgets then refused support because I had the phone repaired as a last resort and offered a laughable $30 “goodwill” refund.
The phones are always better condition than I expect even from the condition I ordered. The phones arrive super quickly to NZ from Oz.They're boxed like a new one with accessories that all feels new and so I always feel like I'm getting a brand new phone!My first one from Green Gadgets was 2 years old and lasted 6 years + Such good value for money! Will never buy a new phone again as long as Green Gadgets are around!
Really love what Green Gadgets are doing. I bought a 'as new' Nothing Phone (2) from them and I was not disappointed with the quality. The phone truly looked brand new. No scratches, dents or anything. However the battery life was a bit lacking, ~4 hours on a single charge with mild usage (messages, google, ect), and the OS came several versions out of date. Also, they did send me the wrong color first due to a packing error, but their customer support made it the easiest returns process I've ever had. The shipping times were very fast, 3 days compared to the (for some reason) 15 day predicted time. They do ship from Australia though, and although they do mention this in their FAQs, it's easy to think they ship from NZ.
