Review Time
This program falsely flags files as malicious. It also gladly tells you that you have a virus, but to 'remove' it, you have to pay. They do offer a free trial, but as someone already pointed out, there is always some excuse why you can't begin your free trial. For me it said my internet was down, but at the same time I was watching Youtube without any problems. I wonder why that is?Gridinsoft also sometimes flags reviews that are not falsely praising their product -- this happened to me too. So just be careful with how you word your review.
Can only say positively about that security tool. Was not sure of its efficiency at first, but it showed up perfectly. Removed a ton of adware from my system, and then prevented spyware injection through its On-Run protection. IMO a perfect choice for its price!
I had a problem with some strange process running in the background of my son's computer. Obviously, the PC was running very slow and was freezing often. My son asked me to fix the PC. I searched for available programs and didn't find anything suspicious. Yet, I found some process that was strange to me. I googled it and it pointed me to the article that recommended GridinSoft Anti-Malware. I downloaded, scanned the PC, asked for the free trial code and the malware was removed. Now my son's PC works very well and fast again. That's the feedback based on my personal experience.
The device finds a few items such as advertising changes to registry keys, but trying to opt for the (short) trial period to really test its capabilities gives some indication of the company's approach. First time it says "your internet is down" to avoid connecting (though subscribing to it is fine!) thereafter it nags you to subscribe on bootup but when you click trial it tells you "server is busy". Does this seem like an ethical business technique?
Didn't remove what it said it would. (well it did, but when the free trial ended it put the problem back on my PC)randomly identifying false positives ( browser add ons that just didn't exist)crashed my PC.When I removed Gridinsoft - it somehow started sending requests for assistance from a different networked PC on which strangely there was no Gridinsoft installed. (I shall have to investigate further)
