Getting worse and worse and now there's no point using them anymore. Every single order there is multiple items unavailable, if they do bother to give you a substitute it's often completely unrelated to what you actually ordered.

On top of that the delivery will most likely be late. Other companies might be a bit more expensive but at least they actually understand how to run a business.

Extremely upsetting experience at a local store.

I had an extremely upsetting experience at a local store. The staff behaved aggressively and excessively. I was yelled at by employees, even though no other customers were treated this way, and I was forcibly removed from the premises, which led to public humiliation and damage to my personal belongings. I feel I was treated unfairly compared to others and targeted unlawfully based on a protected characteristic. This experience was degrading and unacceptable. I am now addressing the issue through formal and legal channels.

Extremely Disappointed with Customer Service

I can't recall the exact date, but I know I raised this issue before our holiday at the start of October. I've sent at least six emails without receiving any response. The complaint was regarding two bottles of red wine, which I found to be overly watery. It seems that the company has neglected their customer service! We spend a significant amount with them, yet they clearly do not appreciate our business!

A year ago, the service was decent, but now it's disappointing.

A year ago, I had a reasonable experience with home delivery. The drivers were helpful, and the store staff were quite good. However, the customer service team has been a major letdown! After receiving a £150 voucher, I thought things would improve, but I was mistaken.
My first order arrived late, and one of the items, bread, was substituted. The substitute was delivered at 21:15 on 04/12/25, yet it was already expired by 05/12/25—just 2 hours and 45 minutes later!
The phone support is quite rude, with a condescending tone, and the call quality is poor due to the distance involved.
I won't consider using this service again under any circumstances.
It seems the company has lost its assets and cash after the recent takeover, which reflects in the staff's attitude, lacking morale and care for what was once a great supermarket.
I fear that if they continue this way, they may face a significant collapse or need rescuing within the next two years.
Management appears to ignore customer feedback completely, as I was informed that there’s no direct way for staff to relay feedback to higher-ups.
Given the current issues with service quality and product availability, it might be best to let this struggling supermarket fade away, similar to others that have disappeared.

I called straight back and got voicemail both times Then during delivery slot 4-6pm at 5.30 pm they cancelled the order o called customer service and they told me order cancelled as not enough delivery drivers - all lies and very inconvenient so order at your peril and hope You receive the order but do by trust it!Terrible customer service even had the nerve to say have a great evening when the party had been ruined by lack of food and drink!

What happened to the good deliveries?

I have been buying online as it was easier to get all things at once as I tend to get stuff for a few weeks in advance. I think I'll stop Asdas service as this is a third time in a row they sneakily put in meat, fish and chicken with best before dates which litterally runs out in two days as if I am dumb and won't check dates. One order had chicken thighs with the plastic film ripped open on the actual package and stuffed in a plastic bag as if nothing was wrong with it. Several orders had quite litterally rotten produce with mold. I don't know how you train your pickers, but putting opened chicken, rotten produce or things going out of date in the delivery it's potential health hazard and can make someone very sick. Was looking forward to having pork chops for dinner, had to return it to delivery driver. Atrocious service.

I would give them zero rating

I would give them zero rating if possible. I have had problems with both their delivery service and their store on Beverley Road in Hull. Deliveries. I stopped using them because what I ordered was often not there. When you insisted that you did not want substitutes, they would deliver half empty or worse orders. How bad is that? Customer service. Sometimes staff who lose their rag for no obvious reason. And address you with a degree of overfamiliarity which is just plain obnoxious. And then they whinge to the media when people are like that with them. The term 'poor service' is generous. The latest. They are letting aggressive marketers operate outside their stores. I experienced a group of them a few days ago. Energy switchers. These characters are obnoxious. Their manner is rather like aggressive beggars. ASDA think it is OK for aggressive marketers to confront customers as they enter and exit their stores. It is not OK. The staff, security and managers do not give a damn. They fob you off with the usual verbal, It is all insincere and totally cynical. Why bother complaining? Just turn your back on them. ASDA will now be blacklisted. Blackbooked. And what goes onto my blacklist also goes onto those of my 4 kids and 10 grandkids. Bye ASDA. You have lost thousands of pounds worth of custom from me and my relatives.

Asda is an absolute disgrace for a company who are supposed to know what they are doing! Stay away from online shopping with Asda if you want to remain sane!
