Review Time
This is the first time we have ordered this type of shoe. We ordered it because of the reviews we read from people who reported more stability and relief from their particular foot woes. We noticed right away how light weight these shoes are and easy to put on. They do run true to size. Their fitting suggestions were right on target and so we were pleased with how well they fit. They do fit like a glove. When walking we noticed we were feeling more connected to the walking surface. The difficulty we have had comes with the lack of any arch support. I have very high arches and some arthritis. I could only wear these for maybe a day or two before I experienced foot pain in the arch area. I needed to return to my more supportive shoes which are fitted with orthotics. The other person needed the support of a regular shoe for another reason, mainly her neuropathy. Again, she could only wear them for about two days. So I think if someone has specific issues with the shape of your foot, arthritis, or very high arches this may not be the shoe for you. I have to admit I never noticed if this company made any specific statements to that effect, but I think they should. We like the shoes, but we cannot wear them everyday. In our opinion, think it through. The great reviews we see tend to do their job and sway us when we need to think about our own individual feet and whether we have problems that are best treated by a podiatrist.
Awesome, got my shoes this afternoon. I took one of my old runners off and slipped on one of these grounded shoes. I walked around for a couple minutes and was very pleased. I then switched other one out and worked the rest of the day and on uneven terrain......what a difference!! I will honestly probably never put on my old shoes again. I've had chronic knee pain and I feel these have relieved my pain so much that I can nearly run. I'm 63 and am very excited about wearing my new skins!!!
I have been looking for a flexible shoe for walking safely and comfortably in my gardens AND your shoes are perfect! I also wore them when painting our family room and they were very good for stability when climbing the ladder steps.
