I’ve been truly pleased with my experience with the service. The product has genuinely made a significant improvement in the texture of my hair. It feels much smoother and has noticeably less frizz than it did before, and overall it seems healthier. Additionally, I had a wonderful interaction with the support team. They were friendly, quick to respond, and incredibly helpful.
I was eager to try the new product, but sadly, it didn't meet my expectations. What worked:
It effectively reduced the greasiness of my scalp, and I noticed a quick improvement in breaking the cycle of overwashing, leading to less greasiness shortly after I began using it. My scalp felt satisfied. Additionally, it has a wonderfully smooth application, detangles better than typical conditioners, allowing the brush to glide effortlessly through my hair, and the scent is quite pleasant. What didn't work:
My primary concern is frizz. While my hair isn't excessively frizzy, it's my main struggle, and I’ve tried numerous conditioners, sprays, and serums without much success. With fine hair and some greys, the frizz seems to be more pronounced. I was hopeful this product would address the frizz caused by traditional shampoos, but it didn't help at all. In fact, I felt my hair became drier and the frizz may have even increased. Furthermore, I was informed that a 50€ pouch would last about 75 days, but I found it hard to make it through the month while washing twice a week, making it quite pricey. Therefore, I won’t be spending 50€ monthly on this. I switched back to traditional shampoo and conditioner this week, and my hair feels smoother.
I was excited to try New Wash but the final verdict is a no for me unfortunately. What worked:It definitely balanced out the greasiness of my scalp, and in my experience, the promise that you will get out of the cycle of hair being overwashed then regreasing a couple of days later came true almost immediately after I started using it. My scalp was happy. Also it feels divinely smooth to use, detangles your hair way better than conditioner, the brush just glides through your hair afterwards, and it smells very nice. Cancelled my order but they charged my card and sent it anyway. Terrible website to order products and they will not offer a refund or nobody calls to sort it out. Horrible customer service. It’s enough to stop me from ordering this product.
What’s with all the plastic? I’ve been buying Hairstory for over three years now……( maybe longer) good product, no bad ingredients important for people who have health concerns like myself……..but VERY expensive.the hair wash has always come in a pouch,never been offered a bottle before….. I also buy the hair balm, they stopped the refill pouch of the hair balm and I could only buy it in a bottle, hard to get all the last bits out of bottles and nozzle tubes, (as I said very expensive so every little bit counts) anyhoo continued buying the pouch of hair wash and the bottle of balm, on my new order this week I get an empty plastic bottle along with the hair wash pouch, with a whole load of fangled instructions on how to operate it and yet another plastic scalp brush………it’s no cheaper to just buy a refill pouch so why bother with a bottle? Why so complicated……or are these new pouches that you claim are totally recyclable going to dissolve or break down if I use straight from the pouch as I have always done?
