We did the Hakone Day trip with Elie and it was amazing. He was super friendly and knowledgeable and took us to some truly amazing spots. You can tell how much he loves Japan and how much local knowledge he has. We saw amazing views of Mt Fuji, went to a Shinto Shrine and Japanese Tea House, and then some amazing food and Onsen experience. Would definitely recommend Haven Japan and Elie specifically as your guide. Next time we come to Japan we will be asking him to plan our entire trip! Trust him 100%.
10 out of 10. The highest praise for our guide who led us on the all-day Hakone tour. We didn't get to see Mt. Fuji (due to clouds), but that didn't matter because the rest of the day was filled with genuine conversations about Canada, Japan, and life. We had a wonderful day traveling from Tokyo to Hakone with our guide. He picked us up promptly in a comfortable vehicle and took us to various scenic spots for viewing Mt. Fuji, which was visible the entire day. Since it was a holiday weekend, he skillfully avoided the crowds and was flexible enough to include a visit to an open-air museum (highly recommend) before dropping us off at the station for a train to Kyoto. We also enjoyed a lovely lunch. Our guide was engaging and fun. I highly recommend this service. Communication was excellent throughout.
We embarked on a day trip to Hakone to view Fuji and enjoy an onsen experience. Our driver was exceptional! He picked us up right on time and ensured we had everything we needed. He was delightful to converse with and shared so much about Japanese culture. You're not just paying for a ride; you're paying for a knowledgeable guide who knows the best spots for photos and avoiding crowds. The vehicle was very clean and comfortable. We even took a few naps along the way. He also made stops whenever we needed. An amazing experience, highly recommend this service for a day trip.
