Will not be using again. What an horrendous stay at a hotel we booked through Agoda. You used photos of rooms to promote large bay windows, additional space, large shower cubical. Only to find a room a 1/4 of the size and an over the bath shower. No good for someone with disabilities. You are misleading people with the images on your app. I have requested a refund from Agoda, PayPal and my bank.

THE WORST TRAVEL APP. DO NOT USE THIS APP AS YOUR VACATION WILL BE RUINED. IF YOU HAVE ISSUES WITH YOUR BOOKING, AGODA WILL NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY. THEIR RESPONSES ARE BEYOND ROBOTIC. THEY DO NOT UPSKILL THEIR AI SUPPORT AND THEY DO NOT HAVE THE FUNDS TO HIRE REAL PEOPLE TO ADDRESS ISSUES. The place I booked was not as described on the page. The host cancelled the booking and sent a message to Agoda for the refund. Agoda kept referring me back to the host. After weeks of frustration, Agoda finally confirms that a refund is to be processed but until now the refund is not on my account. it has been weeks. the vacation was already over but the money is still sitting somewhere. WHAT A USELESS APP. RATING SHOULD BE ZERO STARS!!!

Booked a hotel through Agoda. Room was not as advertised:

Exposed electrical wires in the bathroom created a serious safety risk. The fridge and bathroom had visible mold and dirt. Fixtures were poorly maintained with stains and grime throughout, even the trash bin was filthy. Parts of the room appeared to be temporarily fixed with tape.

We paid Agoda for a service that was clearly not delivered. Instead of resolving the issue, Agoda shifted responsibility to the hotel and refused to take ownership. It has now been one week with no meaningful support or refund progress.

Extremely disappointing customer service and zero accountability.

BE AWARE – BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL

I booked M Hotel Phu Quoc through Agoda for check-in on 11 January 2026. The payment was already authorised on my card, but the very next morning (12 Jan), I received an email saying the booking was cancelled due to payment failure. Confused, I immediately called Agoda support—they confirmed the issue and assured me a refund would process within about a month. Thinking it was fully cancelled (based on their email and promise), my husband booked the same hotel and exact dates via Booking.com under his name, and we stayed only under HIS booking—no problems whatsoever.
Months later (now February 2026), the original amount was deducted from my card anyway. Agoda admitted their system auto-rebooked and charged it without proper notice—even though the payment had already been authorised and I called right after the misleading cancellation email! This created a clear duplicate charge for a booking we never used or stayed under my name.
Their customer service has been beyond shocking. I’ve called them SEVERAL times—each time they say “we’ll update you,” “my manager will call you,” or “we’re escalating it.” I repeatedly requested: “Please call me for any updates—do NOT just email.” They ignored this completely, kept sending pointless emails, and forced me to call back myself every time, wasting hours on hold. Still no refund, and zero manager has called as promised. I’m shocked and furious at this level of incompetence and dishonesty.
Rethink before booking ANY reservation with Agoda—their system tricks you with fake cancellations after authorisation, creates hidden duplicates, lies about refunds and follow-ups, ignores your requests, and provides zero real support when you need it. This has caused massive stress, time waste, and financial loss over something that was obviously their fault. Worst experience ever—avoid Agoda at all costs!

The day before, my family informed me that my mom was about to die, so I had to change my plans and travel to see her for the last time. I asked Agoda if, given the unforeseen circumstances, they could help me to reschedule the trip and apply my budget to a later date. They asked for documentation confirming the situation, which I provided. Their response was that the hotel did not accept my request. I then called the hotel directly, and they gave me a discount, free breakfast for two, and rescheduled my trip. Booking with Agoda is not recommended.

Avoid Agoda at all costs. I booked and paid for a room, yet the hotel has absolutely no record of my reservation. To make matters worse, Agoda has zero human customer service. Their chatbot is a useless loop that fails to understand basic issues, leaving you stranded with no recourse. They took my money and disappeared. Do not trust this platform with your travel plans.

I booked a hotel in Priceline and Priceline let Agoda booked the hotel for me which cause so much issues. I booked 1 reservation on Priceline. Meanwhile Agoda decided to book 2 separate reservations on that 1 Priceline booking. One was cancelled and the other one was confirmed. Priceline then emailed me saying both rooms were cancelled. So I rebooked again, now to a different hotel nearby. Low and behold, their system did it again. ! room was confirmed and the other one cancelled. Now im left with 2 rooms in different hotels. They cannot seem to fix it and when I spoke to several representatives, even they were confused on what happened. WHAT A CLUSTER GY%^$ and a soup sandwich they created. Now they cant even give me a refund on the first hotel they messed up with and im currently going through hoops trying to add a room on the second hotel. Priceline keeps sending me to Agoda cause they cannot help and Agodas customer service is a joke. If you get a rep from india!!!!! good luck because they are the most unprofessional bunch and rude a hell. If you get someone from the philippines, they will try to help but some will just try to pass you off to the next rep. MAN>>>> its soo fraustrating dealing with these companies and Priceline and Agoda seems to not want to take accountability for their mistakes. I will not book thru Priceline again regarding hotels.

Take accountability for your own mistakes AGODA and Priceline. Its pathetic that you have to put your customers thru this kind of headache. They list on their website scam hotels, abandoned hotels, and refuse compensation when you find yourself having to rebook another hotel because the first one is a scam. They offer 10€ of gift cards which is a joke.
Even with photos and evidence of the situation, they refuse to protect their clients.
