I was with them and renewal came through much more expensive, so to get lower price I had to cancel and take out another policy, they are not able to do this over the phone seems very backward. We should always get the best price on a renewal, and it should not be for new customers only!

I went with Healthy Pets last year for my youngest cat, who will be 3 this year. The premium was the most competitive when I did price comparisons and the cover options were clearly explained, but do always read through each policy option before accepting to ensure you get the right cover. Unfortunately I did have to make a claim this month as my cat developed a blocked bladder very unexpectedly which required immediate intervention by our vets. I downloaded and printed off a claim form from the Healthy Pets website, filled in my parts and handed it over to my vets and aside from paying the £99 excess, that was all I was required to do and Healthy Pets settled less than two weeks later direct with my vets. I am hopeful that my premiums won't shoot up next renewal as some of the other reviews doesn't make it look promising and I hope they take note of their reviews and ensure they keep existing customers rather than forcing them to go elsewhere.
Awful cancelled my direct debit for no reason. Sent me a letter I arranged for the direct debit to be reset. Again didn’t take the direct debit and cancelled my policy without any notification. I phoned realising no payments had been taken. Was told they “might” let me reinstate the policy but would let me know! 2 weeks later I have to phone again, as not heard from them. Was told if I paid £95 for arrears I could reinstate policy. Paid but asked for a complaint to be raised. 2 weeks later not heard anything except an acknowledgment saying they will contact me in 3 working days! (10 working days ago!). Also never sent a renewal so renewed a policy without any notification of cost etc. Had to phone again today, was told renewal documents were sent 2 weeks prior to the renewal (although technically I’d not paid the arrears at this point) so don’t think they bothered. Still trying to work out what happened regarding my complaint. 4/5 phone calls later and still none the wiser!!!Also don’t believe the response from the company they did NOT request any further information from me!! Another lie!
