Very disappointed with the handling of my order. I purchased custom-made blackout curtain fabric. The website did not mention that the backside has a coated and differently coloured finish, and photos showed only one side.
After delivery, I contacted customer service. First, they confirmed the backside was not described online. Later, they stated it was clearly mentioned on the website, which I still cannot find on the product page.
For custom-made items that cannot be returned, accurate and complete product information is essential. This was not my experience.

I left a one star review on their website, following a bad experience with the same product more than once.I received an email saying that my product review is online, but when I checked, it was not there.Checked two days later, mine is still not there, but a new 5 star review appeared from someone else.The only possible explanation is, HEMA staff may have deleted my review shortly after approving, so that I might back off.Also, I observed that all recent reviews are 5 star.Because of this, product reviews on the HEMA website is unreliable. They are lying to the customers.
I gave my disaposable camera (also bought from hema) for development. After 1 months of chasing, they come back to me saying they can't develop it and will refund me the money plus a little amount for a gift voucher. I told them the pictures were from a special occation and their comp is not fair, they just did not care. For a company that is big, what a ridicilous process in the first place.
I went to their store in the amsterdam airport today and i purchased a lipliner which was 2,78€. I gave the lady in the register 3 euros and she gave me 20 cents back. when i asked for the other two cents she replied condescently that those did not exist in the netherlands. she knew i was a tourist and laughed it off with her colleague. it was not about the money but the way the employee handled the situation. very rude.
