We had a clog affecting a communal pipe for three flats. Our flat was ending up with all the waste water from the flat above, causing an accumulation of ware that filtered to the flat below. TW Drainage sent Sam, estimating him to arrive within 4-6 hours at night and ended up coming in 2! The shocking part was that he assessed the problem in 5 minutes and managed to deal with the clog in about 2 minutes. Extremely fast. Also, great personality. Very grateful!
LEE: I can't say enough good things about Lee, the plumber who came to help me today. My toilet was completely blocked, and Lee arrived promptly, with such a calm and kind demeanor. He was professional every step of the way. He spent over an hour working tirelessly to fix the blockage. Despite his best efforts, his equipment wasn’t able to clear it, and unfortunately, there was a messy backup. But Lee didn’t shy away from it, he carefully cleaned as much as he could, showing real dedication to the task. Before he left, he coordinated with his colleague and advised me to contact the emergency center, ensuring I had a next step in place. I felt truly supported, and his compassion in such a messy, stressful situation was just remarkable. Outstanding service!

From the moment Sam called to discuss the situation, I knew I was in capable hands. His level of professionalism and intelligence was remarkable, he asked detailed questions about the blockage on the way over, which gave me so much confidence. And when he arrived, his positivity was a breath of fresh air. Sam carefully assessed the toilet calmly, and with confidence, he tackled the problem like a pro. He had the toilet unblocked in around 15mins! But what made him truly special was his care and attention. He walked me through the issue, explaining how the new toilet’s pressure worked and even gave me strong wipes to disinfect the area. On Friday 13th of February I have a service visit to descale the pipe riser in my kitchen and insert a CCTV camera to identify damage to the pipe due to a leak I had for a long time. Alfie and Freddy attended they were on time and very professional. They even went back to the van to cover my floor so that the dirt carried from outside was minimal. Thanks so much. Excellent service. I hope that HomeGroup brings the TWD team back to finish the works and fix the problem with the leak in our block.
On 12.02.26 I was experiencing a living nightmare! Especially after distasteful communication with my local council (Lambeth), I felt once again Soul crushed and on the brink of a complete mental breakdown. Even more so because this issue is reoccurring! I had no faith or hope that any further communication or interaction from my council (Lambeth) or appointed repairs team (TWD) would be conducive to my situation. Then Sam, a compotent, empathetic, personable, understanding, highly skilled and even more highly equipped TWD employee came to my rescue ! I was blown away by his initial response to me and the situation. Sam who is the professional (who I'm sure has seen many cases in my likeness) didnt act with arrogance. Instead he listened to me explaining the problem and how distressed it made me feel. Sam was able to explain and enlighten me as to why this issue keeps on reoccurring and how it could be resolved (although that isn't based off of any action i can carry out). Despite the fact that my property was flooded with sewage and stack pipe water, Sam still treated my home with respect and was mindful about how he moved, removed and interacted with the bombshell my home became. To add cherry to my pie, Sam directly entered the stacks with a unique piece of equipment that should hopefully keep the backsurging issue at bay. After all was said and done, for the first time since I had been at the property, I witnessed hot water at its highest force go straight down my kitchen sink without rising in it. How sad that in this 1st world country that felt like magic ! I am very grateful, that even in such distress, a silver lining came and that came as Sam!THANKYOU !!!
I was visited by a very capable and pleasant young man by the name of Sony recently. He went the extra mile to thoroughly check and try to find the cause of the issue. Even when the cause could not be found because further investigation was necessary, he, like his name, remained positive and answered my many questions as to the possible cause of the issue and what the next steps might be. He reassured me, which was very important. He was patient and took the time that was necessary to thoroughly investigate the issue. Thank you Sony/TWD.
Freddie and Alfie from TWD came out to unblock my drain and did a really good job. They were efficient, professional, and got everything sorted quickly. Their customer service was excellent – very polite, respectful, and well-mannered young men. It’s always reassuring to have such friendly and hardworking people doing the job. I really appreciate their help and would definitely recommend them.
