The packaging was great and the Steelbook was in tip-top condition. I received The Running Man (2025) on the day of release. Why only 4 stars? Like everything else, this release has suffered shrinkflation with a new release price of £34.99, but now only one disc. For this price there used to be at least a Blu-ray disc included or some postcards, stickers or a poster. This is a bare-bones release for a premium price. There doesn’t seem to be any competition between the distributors. HMV, Amazon and Zavvi are exactly the same. There’s no incentive to stick with any one retailer any more.
Today was my first visit to HMV, and it honestly couldn’t have been a better experience. I attended the signing event with Jeff Goldblum, and everyone, including Jeff himself, was incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming.
Our car broke down earlier that day, so my husband couldn’t help with the children as he awaited breakdow ncover. The staff were completely understanding and had no issue with my kids staying with me during the signing. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The children were even given signed photos and photo taken which meant so much to them.
It was such a positive and memorable experience for our whole family. Shopping experience was a bliss too. Thank you for your kindness and professionalism – we truly appreciate it.

The item was exactly the same pre order price as Amazon and what's even better was that HMV give free delivery on orders over £20, Amazon expect you to spend a lot more than that to qualify for free delivery which makes HMV much better in these cases.
I pre ordered my purchase and was promised release day delivery which I got.
If you want a blu ray etc then check HMV out and see if they are just as good or better.

Decided to order some vinyl from HMV online couldn’t get what I wanted from various stores and I found the choice online to be far superior than going to different HMV stores only to come back empty handed all in all very pleased had all the vinyl I wanted in stock and shipped out to me very quickly also got a Royal Mail tracking number which is always helpful plus Royal Mail emailed me with a date and time yeah very pleased 😊
I use HMV for all my new releases and pre-orders. Been with them for quite a few years now and generally speaking they are my first port of call (I occasionally use other sites for exclusive covers or different vinyl colours).
I have only one complaint and thats if you go onto pre-orders and bulk order a large list of items, once one of the new releases has been sent it’s virtually impossible to cancel anything else from your main order number, or even cancel all the rest of the items in the order!
But this wee grumble aside, I am really happy with their excellent customer service and returns are a piece of cake, all you have to do is find the item you want to return and providing its still factory sealed and undamaged you can get your return picked up from home using the postie, or use a drop box at your nearest store/post office.
The return policy for faulty items is terrible, they refuse to send you a replacement out for faulty DVD's, you are told that if it's in store you can exchange it but if they don't have one you need to return it in post get a refund and have to reorder it. You need to do all the messing around and costumer service is the wrong name, the staff in store are a lot more helpful.
Team were very helpful in helping me locate an exclusive vinyl, the last of which was held back by a member of staff. Annabel kindly let me buy the one she had reserved which I was very thankful for :) very good customer experience!
HMV is a great shop but as I couldn’t get into town for a few days & I wanted a couple of 4K discs to try out my new Tv arriving in three days.
They say 48 hr delivery but don’t make the mistake I did.What they mean is it will be 48hrs from when they send it so I had to wait over a week!
Great shop but no Amazon when it comes to mail order.
Will stick to the shop in future or order elsewhere.
Quality of products as expected. Reasonable price. Online order delivered on time.
1 item missing an accessory, not HMV fault but supplier fault. A quick chat message and replacement item sent and received today.
