Review Time
I recently visited Homeappliancesonline while looking for a new fridge and washing machine, and overall I was impressed. Delivery was surprisingly fast my order arrived earlier than expected and was well packed.
Bought an element for a F&P oven. Ordered on Thursday evening, the element turned up, well packaged, on Monday, it fitted and works well. Far cheaper than the local retailer who didnt have the part anyway. So, overall can't fault Homeappliancesonline, from this 1 experience.
I purchased 2 air filters for my inherited 9 year old heat pump online. I received updates on shipping and everything was fine until they arrived. The filters were slightly longer than would fit and I sent an email. I received a phone call explaining how to rectify the situation and am very happy.
We ordered a spare part for our air-conditioner on the 10th November (this is as we enter summer). 10th December still no part so emailer to find out when it might arrive. Did not get a response. It's now the 11th January, I feel 2 months delivery times is a touch excessive. I'd probably feel more reasonable of they had replied to emails but this is poor service.
Prompt shipping of the part required (Haier HDW100WCT Dishwasher Lower Door Seal). This part is normally unobtainable even when new, other appliance repair people will say "can't be fixed, buy a new dishwasher" because the whole inner door usually needs to be replaced and they are not made anymore. It wasn't easy to install (and I can see why replacing the whole door is vastly preferable if you can get one), but the part was exactly right from Home Appliances Online, and I did get there in the end.Tip for people doing the same. Take the outer door panel off, take the upper door control panel off, unscrew the door hinges, there is 2x nut and screw for each hinge use a screwdriver and spanner (don't just try turning the nut, the screw is not captive). Remove the door from hinges and put inside-down on floor.Remove old seal, then prise up the edge of the aluminium that the seal was gripped into, open it up almost 90 degrees using pliers, slip on the new seal and sort of roll it in place, then with the door panel flat on the floor using a small block of wood and hammer peen over the (now hidden in the rubber) aluminium edge to pinch the seal in place. Peen it real good. Reassemble. I think it does not have to seal perfectly as the seal sits on the inside of the tub anyway. it seems to mostly be to prevent crud and copious amounts of water and steam.Be careful as the aluminium edges are SHARP.
They had incorrect measurements on their website so the stove element I bought was the wrong size and I had to return it. In all fairness, they were very prompt responding and did offer a refund, but I had to fork out almost $30 for the postage there and back. My advice for any potential customers is to ignore the measurements on the website and go by the model number.
