These scumbags just conned my mother, who has Alzheimers, out of £170 over the telephone, following an unsolicited call, pushing a warranty she neither needed or wanted. I suspect they acquired her details from another similar dodgy outfit who defrauded her out of £700 a year ago.
When you look at a company on here - you look at the service you get and the quality of work and that the staff are polite and good natured - However when you are driving on the A127 and a White van close up your backside and as he goes by shows you a w*@ker signthat's something you should not do in a company van with Hometec all over it - Time 6.40am A127 Southend bound near fortune of War
Was denied warranty for a conservatory that was built under the previous house owner. Initially I was told warranty is not transferable at all, after reading the fine print it seemed possible, but calling again they said this should have been done by solicitor before exchanging contracts. Seems bizarre to me, had no such issue with the warranty of the house itself (newbuild). In my opinion warranty is meant to guarantee that the product itself isn't faulty, so should not matter who owns it. Seems a sneaky way to avoid responsibility/cost.
