appalling unscrupulous conmen....Cold called my elderly in-laws, pressured them to sign a contract for windows they didnt want or need. Had to get Trading Standards involved. Salesman Jack Cronin has now set up as Endeavour home improvements. Avoid avoid avoid......
Had arranged for someone to come out and look at our leaking conservatory which is still under warranty. Had to wait 2 weeks for an available appointment. When the fitter hadn't turned up during the given timeslot I rang the office. The lady that took my call was extremely rude. I would not recommend or use Hometech again based on my experience of speaking to this lady. As the first point of contact I think it's important to be polite and courteous. This lady has put me off Hometech more than the leak!!
If I could have give no stars I would have! Where do I start........ we had Hometec do our 1st extension. The fitters were very hit & miss (mostly miss) we had a fitter sit in his van for 2 hours. None of the window boards matched not the same widths/depths. On our 1st floor we had french doors with a glass balcony so the side lights needed to be high enough for the windows to open. When the balcony was fitted the windows didn’t open. Now this was all finished including monocouche render, inside all new carpets & plastered/painted. They came round to inspect with a view of offering some silly money to leave as is. We said no. So consequently the side lights were ripped out ruining everything including the render. So I now had to have beading inside to hide the damage & the outside needed to be redone at a cost of £200 which they were supposed to pay the renderer directly. They didn’t so it was left to us. We had a 2nd extension & a set of bifolds didn’t fit so to save remaking the doors we had to get our builder to cut some brick off so the doors fit. Which they did at another cost of £180 to us. Suffice to say I was dubious about using this company again, but we wanted everything to match, so I gave the benefit of the doubt. Again we had a very angry & aggressive fitter who snatched paperwork from my hand & told my builder on the phone to ‘F... Off’ on the phone, very unprofessional & intimidating. He was trying to pass blame. Ultimately if they were measured correctly they would have fit!Now I took these costs off my bill (I have saved this company money by not pursuing for compensation) or have them make the doors again to fit, which they REFUSE to accept even though I’ve sent invoices. They are quick enough to take your money, but beware!!!They should have come out twice now to adjust the bifold door which has dropped. They cancelled the appointments at the last minute by sending an email saying I still owe them £380........AVOID
We had our windows installed 3 years ago by Hometec. We had problems from the start with fitters not turning up on time, lack of communication from the office and then a bad instal. They came back 3 times after to correct things but were not done correctly so we gave up. Since the windows were never installed properly we have had to live with wind blowing through gaps around the windows, trim coming off and the nail in the cofin after 3 years the bay windows started to leak. It has taken months of arguing, fitters then coming out for half days here and there and them still not completing the job properly so other fitters had to come out to correct the other fitters work. A complete lack of ownership and lack of communication, back chatting from staff and the owner. They have now repaired and re fitted the windows, however, have caused structural damage to our bay window which they are refusing to pay for. I have photographic evidence of all this. Use this company at your own risk... oh and they are not covered by fensa so no official checks are carried out on their work! (Re the comments below, they take no ownership for the fact I have video and photographic proof of the poorly installed windows, the proof the wind blew through the poorly fitted trim and lack of expanding foam around the windows. The fact they sub contract the work to fitters and they got rid of the fitters that installed our windows but wouldn't admit the poor work they did. The owner of this company is rude and unpleasant if you try and correct him with proof! Awful company and use at your own risk!!!) We have had to accept still the poorly fitted windows and at somepoint have to get them replaced by a decent company. Also we have never been provided with a fenca cert and on checking the fenca site we were never registered with them!!!
We had windows, front door and cladding supplied and fitted to our Bungalow by Hometec. The guys Stuart, Ryan and Tony were very polite and did a professional job, they were very tidy and were a pleasure to deal with.We had one small issue with a mark on a window sash but that was replaced within days.Would highly recommend.
Thank you so much for the beautiful windows and doors Hometec fitted for us. From the Salesman, Surveyor and Fitting team (Stuart & Ryan) we have received exceptional service - absolutely BRILLIANT. So glad that we decided to purchase our windows and doors from Hometec, we wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.Thank You.
