I recently purchased a Honeywell 02E Series Reading Floor Lamp and am very happy with the quality. However, the delivery service provided by FedEx was unacceptable.
FedEx usually delivers to our door. But this time they left the floor lamp in our lobby. Picking up this large and very heavy package over a 100 meters away from my home was a major physical burden and a poor customer experience.
I value your products, but I hope you can review your delivery protocols with FedEX.
I cannot recommend this light to anyone due to both the product quality and the customer service. Firstly, it does not serve well as a lamp for a home office, as its light only illuminates half of the table, creating an uncomfortable contrast unless positioned directly in the middle of the desk. Moreover, their customer service is the worst I've encountered. While the product description suggests an easy return process, the actual return policy states that the item must be untouched in its original packaging. If the light is functioning (the only scenario they consider for a defective product), you are responsible for the return shipping costs. To make matters worse, when I reached out for a return, they mentioned a 10% restocking fee, which was not mentioned on their return policy page. I fail to see the need for a restocking process if the product is returned in an unused condition as per their requirements. In conclusion, I would advise against purchasing this product. If you are considering it, look for other platforms that offer a more favorable return policy.
I love the design of my new lamp. I thought it was going to "light up the entire room," but it's not that kind of lamp. However, it is intensely bright and definitely improves my sewing experience. My one difficulty has been figuring out how to turn it on and off. I finally figured out to slide my hand along the pole, and then I hear a sweet little beep, and the light comes on. I like how I can adjust the intensity with the touch of the two extra buttons. For my purposes and my eyesight, however, the brightest setting is what I want/need! I'm getting used to positioning it so I don't cast a shadow on my work. When I position it on my right side and slightly behind me, I avoid the shadow. The heavy base ensures I won't be knocking it over, yet it's not too heavy for me to move it to different locations within my sewing studio.
