I genuinely question why they even employ customer service staff. Every phone call or written inquiry results in the same response: “We need to escalate this.” Nothing is ever resolved on the spot. If you’re lucky, someone follows up in 2–3 business days.
Simple requests become problems. Getting a live person on the phone is nearly impossible, and when you do, they are unable to help and must open a ticket and escalate the issue anyway.
Their fund selection is the only redeeming quality of this company. Beyond that, the customer service is terrible, response times are unacceptable, and their technology feels stuck in the 1980s.
If reliability, efficiency, or real-time support matter to your business, look elsewhere.
The representative was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in addressing my concerns with an old 401k from a previous employer. The support experience was frustrating. Initially, I had to interact with an AI chat system before reaching a real representative. They needed to create a case and would only follow up via email after a few business days. When they finally did, the earliest available appointment was two weeks later.
As an employer, we were initially very enthusiastic about finding a service with transparent and competitive pricing, along with a promised seamless integration with our PEO requiring minimal oversight from us. While the pricing is appealing, the integration has proven to be unreliable. It has failed twice, and neither time was it noticed by the service; our employees, who are attentive to their finances, realized that contributions had ceased. I was willing to overlook the first incident as a one-time issue, but after the second occurrence, we sought clarification and discovered there was a known problem with their API. Apparently, monitoring potentially affected accounts wasn’t deemed necessary. Three months later, I am still attempting to resolve the missing contributions, and the back-and-forth has become absurdly inefficient. If you intend to depend on their payroll provider integrations, be warned that while you may save money, you are also acquiring significant headaches. We plan to seek a new provider in 2026 and would advise others to avoid similar troubles.
