I've had a good experience using IMG® for international travel insurance. The types of policies were clearly-described and the coverage was adequate for what I needed while travelling internationally. The claim process was a little longer than I anticipated but the customer service was professional and answered my questions. Consistently good, well ISO'd service that could be slightly bettered in few ways.

I recieved $50,000 worth of medical bills when travelling overseas due to a medical incident. After submitting a claim, it was denied on the basis that my condition was 'pre existing'. I had sent 2 appeal letters, both of which took them over half a year to respond to, and both of which were also denied. After righting a third appeal letter as well as getting lawyers involved, they finally changed their decision and payed me out, the whole ordeal taking over 2 and a half years.

I would never waste my time or money with this company. Their response times and decision making are disgusting and unprofessional.

My husband and I made a travel claim with IMG on 9th January 2026 for several hundred pounds but are still waiting for our money !! Emails go unanswered and when you phone they say they will escalate it to the mgt team and you will get an email by the end of the day .. you DO NOT!!
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !! Friends on the same cruise who use other companies were paid out weeks ago !! They sell travel insurance cheaply through JUST TRAVEL but their claims service is awful !!

I purchased medical insurance from IMG for my Switzerland trip and had to visit ER there for an emergency. Submitted a claim after my visit. It's been over 4 months and claim just sits in submitted status. Reported it to customer care multiple times and doesn't go anywhere. I don't see a point why they offer insurance services when they can't keep up with claims in any reasonable time frame.

Beware of this company, they refuse to honor claims.

This company is untrustworthy and does not reimburse claims. They appear to manipulate reviews on a popular platform, where a large majority of the 5-star ratings come from accounts that only review this company, often multiple times. This suggests review manipulation, so if they can't be trusted here, they likely won't be honest about settling your claims.

Unreliable claims process and wasted time

They are unwilling to process a claim that clearly meets the criteria of the insurance policy. I've invested over 100 hours on a straightforward claim that remains unpaid. I strongly advise against using their services. It's baffling how they maintain such a high rating on review platforms, which makes me question their credibility.
