Brandon is not responding. I have had a claim open since January 2026. Now it's March already, and they haven't resolved the claim?!
I'll open a court case against Progressive for delaying and falsely claiming that my car had no issues. I do have proof of everything! See you in court!
Would give negative stars if available. Switched auto policy to Farners Insurance and saved 50% with inproved coverage! They also had the nerve to charge me a $50 cancellation fee. This company spends hundreds of millions of dollars on silly advertisements. Save yourself time and lots of money and avoid this consumer sham group
We recently had an accident that totaled our vehicle. Ashly in the claims department was very helpful and friendly throughout the claim, and patiently answered all our questions. We've always loved the price and customer service, but this was our first time filing an auto claim. Amazingly helpful, friendly and easy!
Homeowners insurance increased 92% in one year. They claim it was due to post inspection increase in value. Their reported valuation was $900,000+. Appraisal district value is $425,000. Zillow Appraisal is $455,000. Previous year insured value was $619,000. No improvements, add-ons, or other changes were made! No claims have ever been filed with them! When asked to have a second, independent appraiser, appraisal conducted, they declined! So, in the end, my annual premium was going nearly DOUBLE in a single year!! Pathetic company to do business with!!
They are thieves. They put my daughter on my insurance when I told them not to and want me to pay three hundred dollars more. They sent papers without my knowledge to have her excluded. I found this out around 3 weeks after I told them not to have her covered. So I signed the paperwork and emailed it to them. She was uncovered when they received the paperwork with my signature. They want me to pay for the days prior to the signing of the paperwork because they covered her without my knowledge.
Me telling them I don't want her covered should have been good enough. They come up with the paperwork signing scam so they can cover her and charge me. So by the time they receive my signature they've already charged me those days of covering her without my knowledge that she was covered.
I'm going to another insurance company. I'm not paying attention dime.
ZERO STARS — if that were possible
If I could give Progressive zero stars, I would.
Progressive is alleging “fraud” and “misrepresentation” in my auto claim, not because of facts, not because of evidence — but because they are weaponizing “garaging” as a technical excuse to avoid paying a valid claim.
Here are the actual facts they are ignoring:
• Our car is registered, titled, inspected, and plated in New York
• We work in New York
• We pay rent in New York
• Our hospitals and medical care are in New York
• The vehicle is insured under a New York policy
• We have legal documentation proving we are temporarily staying elsewhere only to rent out a property
• I can provide letters from landlords, medical providers, and agencies confirming all of this
And here’s the most important part:
👉 The accident did NOT happen while the car was parked.
👉 It happened while the car was being DRIVEN during normal, lawful use.
There is nothing in an auto insurance policy that says coverage magically disappears based on where a car sleeps at night — especially when:
• the accident occurred while driving,
• within the coverage territory,
• during ordinary personal use.
By Progressive’s logic, if someone gets into an accident while driving in another state — North Carolina, New Jersey, anywhere — they should be denied because the car “wasn’t garaged correctly.” That’s absurd, and it’s not how auto insurance works.
Instead of acting in good faith, Progressive jumped straight to alleging fraud — a serious accusation — without proof, without intent, and without material misrepresentation. This feels less like an investigation and more like a strategy to scare policyholders into giving up.
We paid our premiums.
We were transparent.
We have documentation.
And yet Progressive’s response was to look for a loophole instead of honoring coverage.
Consumers should be extremely careful.
If you ever find yourself in a claim, be prepared for Progressive to reinterpret your life circumstances after the fact to avoid paying.
I strongly recommend: stay away from Progressive.
This experience has shown me how quickly an insurer can turn on its own customers when it’s time to actually provide coverage.
If you’re reading this, do not buy Progressive Insurance. They will rip you off. Their customer service is terrible, and their adjusters act rudely, offer low‑ball repairs, use the cheapest parts, and question obvious accident damage.
I had a no‑fault accident in December and used my uninsured motorist coverage. The impact spun my SUV and damaged the bumper, lift gate, and quarter panel. Progressive’s recommended shop kept my vehicle for 45 days, claiming they were waiting on the adjuster, who was “out of town” for weeks.
When the shop later found lift gate damage, they said Progressive might not cover it, even though my pictures clearly showed it was caused by the accident. The adjuster then questioned my integrity and even demanded pre‑accident photos. He told me he’d cover either the quarter panel or the lift gate—not both.
After repairs, my radio and backup camera didn’t work. A specialist found the accident impact blew a fuse and loosened wiring. Progressive still refused to cover the repair, claiming it wasn’t accident‑related.
In short, Progressive is one of the worst insurance companies. Stay away.
When writing a review about an insurance claim dispute, it is most effective to remain factual, firm, and focused on the refusal to review evidence. This puts public pressure on the company to address the "Special Investigations" side of your claim.

Review Title: Progressive ignoring 3 years of evidence regarding staged accident and fraud
Rating: ⭐☆☆☆☆
I am extremely disappointed with Progressive’s handling of my recent claim. I am being held 50% liable for an incident that was clearly a staged accident and the result of three years of documented harassment by a neighbor.
Despite having a mountain of evidence, Progressive is taking the "easy way out" rather than defending their policyholder. My evidence includes:
3 years of emails with the Parking Department regarding this individual’s illegal activity.
Police records showing a long-term pattern of harassment.
Video footage clearly showing the claimant lying to the police and aggressively maneuvering her vehicle to block my driveway and trap me.
I was acting out of fear for my safety and the safety of my child while being harassed. Progressive is ignoring the fact that this was a premeditated plot (insurance fraud) and is instead treating it as a standard "at-fault" accident. By forcing a 50/50 settlement, they are essentially rewarding someone for predatory behavior and fraud.
I have requested that this be moved to the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), yet the adjusters continue to ignore the video proof that contradicts the claimant's statement. I expected much better protection and investigation from a company of this size.
Very bad customer services at progressive claims there is a representative her name is Jennifer from Atlanta so rude ,un respectful not professional job ,after one month waiting un resolved claims after a hundred questions
Very very bad customer services
Completely ineffective. Essentially only serves to appease the bank. For some unknown reason, they require excessive information from anyone of driving age who merely resides with you, even if they never drive your vehicle. If an issue arises, they are utterly ineffective at assisting with repairs. This feels like a pointless scheme disguised as an insurance service. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.
