IL's Ultimate Go Overseas Bootcamp 2025 in Las Vegas.It was pretty good. All the speakers were pretty good & the descriptions matched what they said. I was REALLY surprised to meet people who had attended this conference for several years....why hadn't they moved abroad yet?My biggest takeaway was to use FACEBOOK to join expat groups in the places you are thinking of going. I learned a little about Albania, 5 minutes worth at the conference, and ended up moving there 7 months later, fairly prepared, I think.The conference was a little investment-heavy - things I don't need. There were times when investing was the only option for a breakout - like 5 different ones on investing and nothing else. Would like to have the opportunity to learn other things rather than skipping the conference for those times.
Was a member of IL some years ago but somehow fell off the roster. This opportunity arose just as I was planning a scouting trip to some would-be retiree locations in Europe. Just in time, this indescribable experience has changed my trajectory and thoughts about where and how to retire overseas. The visa and tax information alone is PRICELESS and opened my eyes to certain pitfalls had I not been made aware. I could not have sourced such detailed and personal information no matter what the platform. Time and money absolutely well spent.
Great educational experience. I made important decisions about my future as an expat as opposed to roaming nomad. Extended stay in various countries. Realized real estate investing was not in my future plans because of my age. Great choices and great expertise
I am interested in moving to Portugal when I retire so they targeted me with an ad on Facebook and I signed up to receive their emails. Incessant email nearly daily, but it was relevant so it didn't bother me that much.And then they sent me some stupid political email with predictions about the election outcome. The content was very skewed towards Donald Trump. Clearly, they support a twice-impeached 34 time convicted felon, who tried to overthrow our democracy. Stay away from these people. They are completely shady.
Total scam. Do not buy. I signed up for their membership, and it's a complete rip-off. Every single thing they offer costs more for basic information, and it’s just upsell after upsell. To make things worse, now I’m bombarded with spam emails from them pushing crypto investments. It's like I paid them just to get more ads in my inbox. Absolute waste of money. Stay away!
I subscribed, hoping to get a little information about living abroad. First, everything is presented through rose-colored glasses. Second, I did not get a magazine series that provides information. What I really did is pay to have my name added to a list of grifters. I get 3, 4, 5.. emails a day asking me to pay for something new. Also, these so-called experts have an agenda larger than money. Many are climate change-denying, MAGA-ish folks who have a political agenda. I would NOT advise subscribing to this drivel.
