My vehicle wouldn't start after leaving a restaurant. A service team came out and determined that my battery had failed and needed replacement. The next morning, I contacted a local service provider to inquire about their battery replacement costs. They quoted £154 for a diagnostics check, requiring my car for at least 2 days, followed by a £250 charge for the battery plus additional labor fees. I was frustrated about paying for diagnostics when I already knew the issue, but the representative insisted it was necessary. I then turned to another provider, who was able to come to my home the next day and replace the battery for £134. It's astonishing that the first provider wanted over £400 and would leave me without a car for 2 days, while the alternative offered a much better service at a lower price. It feels like they are following rigid policies without considering customer needs.
