Long story short i signed up for the cyber security course, completed the course within the 12 month limit and luckily landed a job 1.5 miles from my home with a company called Tieva as a 1st Line Technician. The course is made up of 6 separate courses with each having a test at the end that you can attempt as many times as you like. You then need to complete an internal exam covering all 6 courses studied. You get 5 attempts at this and must pass this to go forward with the job guarantee. This is the hardest part of the course and the most stressful.Once the internal exam is complete you move on to the LAB’s which are basic but give you a brief idea of some of the faults/fixes you might come across. I personally found doing the LAB’s then going off and practicing yourself on your computer with the help of YouTube videos. Once the LABs are done you can sit the Compita A+ exams. I did mine from home. They were very easy to book, and you get an instant result. Theres a lot of video content to get through on this course. I spent about 8-9 months solid most nights for 2-3 hours after work getting though all the courses to give me enough time to then get through the LAB’s and sit the exam. Once i passed i was in contact with Sarah, a recruitment specialist. I sent my CV off to be rewritten then started applying for jobs Sarah had sent links to. They were jobs from recruitment sites such as indeed and Reed but the application to Tieva was direct as it is a partnered company. This was about 3 weeks after i had started applying for jobs, much quicker than i expected. Tieva have actually taken on a couple of people who have completed an ITCareerSwitch course so i feel even without having the practical experience, they understand where i am in my career and have offered the training to help me progress. Overall if you want to change career and you're too old for apprenticeships or work full time so you can’t do college then this course can probably help you do it but you have to put the work in to pass the internal exam.
I believe 5 star reviews are fake. They are trying to minimize percentage of the 1-star reviews. I started the program primarily for the recruitment support they promised, because I couldn't find a job on my own despite my past experience.I invested a huge amount of time and effort to complete the training program. However, they later informed me that I don't have indefinite residency. At no point in the beginning was this mentioned—it was only promised that they would guarantee a job. After that I saw this was included in the terms and conditions, but it was buried in small print, and I was unaware of it at the time. Then they offered me two options 1- They can refund me only £445 out of total pay 2-They can give recruitment support without job guarantee and without refund.I did the second mistake by selecting the second option, at the end of the 12 weeks they said me goodbye. They advertise with the impression that they refund the full amount if they fail to secure you a job. However, this is misleading, as they only refund a small portion, less than a half. They take the other amount as education pay.People enroll in the program with dreams of securing an IT job. There is a huge amount of content to complete, impossible to complete for the one with no experience. I had four years experience of sotware development nevertheless completed the training in seven months. Yet, IT Career Switch seems to profit in all scenarios:If people give up before completing the program, the company profits. If people complete the program but don’t secure a job, they only refund a small portion, ensuring the company still profits.Beyond the financial aspect, the company shows little regard for people’s time and effort. Their primary concern seems to be collecting payments.Stay away from this company.
This review relates to my recent project undertaken with itcareerswitch. Stanley guided me through what was for me a difficult project, giving me valuable feedback that helped me to shape, improve and complete my project. I feel, although I personally took too long to complete the project, that I could not have completed it without Stanley's guidance. Much appreciated.
ITSwitch has been a fantastic help with my web development course! I'm currently working on my first project, and Stanley has been an incredible support throughout the process. His knowledge, patience, and willingness to assist have made a huge difference in tackling challenges and improving my understanding. I highly recommend ITSwitch
I recently had the pleasure of participating in a mock interview session with Morgan, and I can't express enough how impactful the experience was. From the very beginning, Morgan made me feel completely comfortable and at ease. She set a relaxed and welcoming tone before the mock interview even started, which helped alleviate a lot of my initial nerves.Morgan was very clear about the goal of our session, explaining that she would not only ask me interview questions but also provide thorough and constructive feedback afterward. This upfront clarity helped me focus on the task at hand and made the entire experience feel purposeful and well-structured.The feedback Morgan provided was incredibly insightful and helpful. Every answer I gave was met with thoughtful observations and practical advice on how to improve. She gave me a rare and invaluable peek into the recruiter's perspective, which was a first for me. Understanding what a recruiter is looking for and how my answers might be perceived added a whole new dimension to my interview preparation. One of the biggest takeaways from my session with Morgan was how to approach each question strategically. She guided me on the best way to structure my responses, emphasizing the importance of using specific examples and always tying them back to the job description and the company's needs.Perhaps the most impactful advice Morgan shared was simply to "remember to breathe." It sounds simple, but this reminder transformed my mindset. It helped me stay calm and collected, which in turn allowed me to think more clearly and present myself more confidently.Overall, Morgan not only improved my interview skills but also changed my entire perception of interviews. She turned what can often be a stressful experience into a manageable and even enjoyable process. I left the session feeling more prepared, more confident, and genuinely excited about my next interview opportunity.I highly recommend Morgan to anyone looking to refine their interview skills and gain a deeper understanding of the recruiting process. Her expertise, combined with her supportive and encouraging approach, makes her an exceptional recruitment mentor.
