Review Time
In my order, I got a lamb dish which I absolutely hate lamb so that was put in by mistake by the suppliers, and I’m rather disappointed that they don’t do desserts. I think that lacks greatly and makes me fall off the wagon… Also every time I ring 020 3489 4770 for advice, I’m stuck in line position (one) for an hour, terrible customer service, funny though, that when it comes to the food ordering line they answer immediately 😳 think 🤔 Hmmmmm .. If I have to hear YOUR QUEUE POSITION IS ONE.. much more I’ll lose my head.. 🙄
The customer service for Jane Plan is exceptional.
Not only are the meals delicious and nutritious the response and helpfulness of the customer service team is outstanding.
The responses have been prompt and detailed, I have dealt with a lady called Fatima who has gone out of her way to explain my questions and action my requests
I cannot recommend highly enough
The meals were disgusting. Nothing like the adverts, a good example is the lasagne shown in the adverts with the Chaser bears no resemblance it had 1 slice of slimy pasta and the mince was more like lumpy gravy. The actual lasagne ran across the plate as did many other dishes. The first month box was chosen by suppliers and not customer. The snacks as per the adverts were in short supply, 2 chocolate bars, a few buscuits and other bombay mix or similar. Tuna pasta was particularly awful and too many pasta dishes included. Boring is a word i associate with this diet especially as choice reduces towards end of box. This written on behalf of my wife who followed diet to the letter with 3-4 hours weekly of exercise (rowing machine) and lost 2kg in 5 weeks
I am losing weight happily on Jane Plan but one of the meals was not up to the usual standard. Asha, Lead Nutritionist from the member support team responded within hours and arranged to have the meal replaced.

Just finished my first week on Jane Plan and thrilled to say i have lost 4.5 kg!
The delivery was good. The first box was the choice provided by the dieticians, so i could try a variety of meals. I must say nearly all of them i enjoyed with only one i wasn't happy with, but i rang the company and they sent me replacements the next day. I have been marking each meal out of 5 so i can choose my favourites for when i order the next box.
I have not really felt hungry and been adding fresh fruits and semi skimmed milk to my breakfasts and various vegetables to my evening meal. Any time i did feel a bit hungry i had another glass of water and it passed.
The start of my journey but enjoying having the choices already prepared for me which has helped me not constantly thinking about food and what to buy!
Jane Plan.
When I signed I did not realise it was for two months, nor that I would receive a whole month’s food in one delivery. I thought it would be like Fresh for example, a weekly delivery of fresh ingredients not a large box of processed food.
Secondly, the menu is largely ‘foreign’, a preponderance of peppery, chili dishes, plus beans, soggy pulses, fresh it is not. I looked forward to carrot soup, it was so vile after two spoonsful it was flushed, even so I felt slightly bilious for the rest of the evening.
The porridge measures varied in size, one described as luxury was huge and the oats mushy. The menus seem not to take into account age, and older people are not burning so much energy, and need smaller portions. Portion sizes seemed to vary greatly and I cannot believe they are carefully managed to provide equal calories.
It cost me a fine of £30 to forgo a second months delivery of this obnoxious processed food. I would not recommend to anyone, a polite but unaccommodating attitude to customers, completed my huge disappointment.
I cannot give five stars as some of the mains and lunches are rather tasteless and too much pepper or other spices are used to try and enhance the flavour which I don’t like.
Due to the meal containers having to be very tightly sealed, I find them extremely difficult to open, requiring a knife which is not ideal especially with hot contents!
Regardless of the above, I can recommend.
Having all the meals conveniently packed in a box, specially packaged so not having to fill up your freezer. Hardly and shopping. I have been on the Jane Plan 21 days and down 4 lbs. Might not sound much, but that's 2 bags of sugar in weight. I can't say that I like all the meals but it's early days. Start the plan and stick to it, I am sure the rewards will come.
This cooking plan may not be suitable for everyone, but preparing meals in advance and storing them in containers is a fantastic strategy. It can take a few hours in one day, or you could hire someone to help. Cooking allows you to know exactly what you eat and can be a fun activity—definitely give it a shot!
