I just wanted to express how much your program has uplifted me. As a disabled female, using the service last year was the highlight of my homebound life. It helped me get out of the house, and we shared laughter and tears. The emotional and mental support I received was invaluable. I truly miss that connection. I hope my new insurance will offer this again. Those few hours made me feel truly alive. Thank you for providing such a wonderful program; it truly makes a difference for those who feel alone.
The fact that papa pal exists to assist the elderly which are already sadly neglected , it’s also allowing for those of us who really care about them to provide many helpful services while also giving us an opportunity to work towards a possible personal goal within the same scope of work and care . Being that this is a very needed type of service, I do feel the pay can be more than what it’s currently paying since we also face safety concerns at times due to the mental state of the client.I hope to continue to grow with this company and possibly even be able to suggest how to better assist those in need !
Papa Pal is a good company but I think the owner or Director would need to make some of these visits in person to see how we drive anywhere from 35 minutes to 55 minutes round trip to clients in our personal vehicles and using our gas. We then accomodate their needs by doing their detailed list of chores. For 18/hr this is bad. We should be receiving a minimum of 21/hr. You want care aides to be happy as well as the clients right.
