Waipouli Resort is very nice. We felt very safe and secure. Our 2 bedroom condo was great. Very clean with a fantastic ocean front view from all windows and 2 balconies. The grounds were very lush and emaculate. The pool very was nice but very shallow...3.5' deep. Great for kids. Not great for swimming. The on-site restaurant, Oasis on the Beach, is closed on Sunday and only open from 4-9 the rest of the week. Everything is expensive in Hawaii including this place. I don't drink wine but I saw them serving $18 glasses of wine and champagne that were only 1/4 full...YIKES! The beach looks great on Google Earth but in reality, it is a very steep beach with course sand and waves breaking directly on the beach. Very beautiful but not great for swimming...especially for kids. Safeway is directly across the street which is very convenient. There are many nearby restaurants to choose from. Snorkeling around the island is not good. We went to 2 beaches, Anini and Tunnels, to snorkel and did a snorkel/dinner/sunset cruise. ALL the corals we saw had severe bleaching with no color and very few fish. We did see a turtle at Anini and 2 or 3 on the cruise. I heard that Maui still has great snorkeling. Nearby we did the Mountain Tubing and Zip Lining...both were great fun. Overall, we thought it was a great place and would definately come back. Watch out for the Tsunamis!

The view was truly outstanding, and the entire unit- bathrooms and communal living room area especially- was bigger than we expected. The kitchen was out fitted with everything we needed. We had a wonderful time staying there and would absolutely choose that unit again.
Loved the morning sunrise , the well kept grounds. Enjoyed the pool, wish you actually had a lazy River that made a full circle and had tubes to use in it to relax in. Great location for being able to walk to stores and restaurants. Room was perfect. Would definitely come back there for another vacation.
