Review Time
After purchasing and installing the battery, the inital first few months were fine. The battery worked as intended. However, after 10-11 months of little to no use, the battery faulted and no longer works.Although they offer a 12 month warranty, Australian Consumer Law entitles all consumers who's products have suffered a major fault to a replacement or refund regardless of company policy.Edit: They refuse to comply with Australian Consumer Law, by denying refunds beyond their stated period. They fail to understand that Australian Consumer Law applies IN ADDITION TO company warranties.Despite quoting legislation and official government websites. I have received the same "it is not covered by our warranty" so a refund cannot be processed. The support team (if there even is one) feels like youre speaking to a robot. And any questions left in the email do not get answered. The company is based in Hong Kong China, and i assume this is where the customer service is based from. Despite being non-australian, as they trade within australia, they must follow all Australian laws, regulations and rules, including Australian Consumer Law.Their parent company is Aostlecell, which i assume they do not want to trade under as the reviews for their company are far below poor. I would never advise anyone to buy anything from Aostlecell or its other websites, knowing how poor the quality of their batteries are or the absence of customer service.
Ordered a battery for a Dell laptop on 13/11/25 and it was delivered to my door on 18/11/25.I installed it with no problems. A battery analysis with Linux Mint later showed the battery is in new condition, charge capacity is 100% of original. This indicates the battery has not suffered loss of charge capacity while in storage.
Avoid them. I ordered a replacement laptop battery a couple of weeks ago. I assumed that the battery would be a non-genuine, Chinese made substitute, which is fine. But I believed that I was buying it from a local reseller. I ordered it from "Laptopbatterydirect" and it arrived within a few days. Unfortunately, I had ordered the wrong one. Entirely my mistake. I contacted them and arranged to return it. They said I would get a refund when it was received. Unfortunately I assumed that the sender's address on the package was the postal address to use. A PO Box in Silverwater NSW. I contacted them again to tell them that it was on its way and I ordered and paid for the correct one. I was then told that the Sender's postal address that was on the package is not the actual sender's address. They gave me a street address for a warehouse complex in Regents Park NSW. The consignee was very long code beginning with 4XP. I foolishly used the seller's name that was on the email correspondence. AolsteCell. When they replied they said that unless it was addressed to the 4XP code given, "it could be destroyed" when it was delivered to the address. I rang Australia Post to see if I could add that number to the delivery address. The guy was very helpful, explaining to me that it was too late as it was already delivered to the warehouse, which is operated by a private mail distribution company that sorts and redirects packages based on the 4XP code. He also said that if he'd been talking to me earlier, he would have advised me to have nothing to do with them. So I've Googled 4XP and discovered that it's a Hong Kong based parcel service which operates in Australia and calls itself Australia Postal Corporation (AUSYDA) and has a red and white logo just dissimilar enough from Australia Post's to avoid a trademark breach. So I've got no refund and the new battery has been in use for just over 1 week and it has died. Will not take or hold a charge. Two batteries paid for. All money gone.
When I order my laptop battery online, I forgot to use discount code, I contacted the staff, they reply very fast and refund me the 10% discount. delivery with 3 business days, battery with some handful tools, great service and quality
Over the years I have replaced quite a few batteries in my laptops and I have to admit some of the replacements I purchased were very sub-par. Then I found Laptop Direct, purchased a battery from them and was satisfied that I was getting a good battery. I have since purchased several batteries from them and find they have a very prompt delivery and a great follow up. Best yet.
