I just needed some advice on arcane points about a trust set up in a will. LawHive connected me Julie Jewers, who is quite a senior wills and trusts specialist, and was able to cut through my confusion and provide a clear and simple way forward, for a very reasonable fixed fee. The information gathering by online message, followed by the video interview via Microsoft Teams, and took just over a week from my first enquiry, and Julie helpfully dealt with a couple of follow up questions afterwards.

I recently made an enquiry at Law Hive regarding a potential Employment Tribunal matter. After speaking to Josh. I later saw on two separate occasions price match promise + 10%. However when I initally raised this Josh, reported that this offer is no longer available. Again this evening I went onto the website and saw the same price guarantee promise.
For clarity. I accessed the website via my mobile phone and the direct link too me to the site. Also the first time I saw the price promise was in a quote sent directly to my email.
It's highly concerning that transparency and unclearness in Advertising is questionable.
Until they resolve this matter. I will not be proceeding with this Law Firm. Also as they are regulated, Further action may be taken about this mis-leading advertising.

This company got involved with a compensation settlement they claim to have the funds but are refusing to provide evidence of this they are also denying me my case number this has been going on for months we was told that we would receive our settlement before Christmas but this was false information Adrian Knowles was the so called solicitor dealing with this he made empty promises and gave us false information booking in appointments to cancel on every single one with a different excuse we have now been told by the chief executive that a cheque has been sent and all our information requested posted via Royal Mail 48hr tracked but refused is tracking information he informed me we’d receive this Friday but as expected no cheque now on Tuesday they have told us lies and misleading information please be careful I’m now having to involve higher authorities to get my money
There was no fuss. Everything was completed as required, with no drama. I was well informed and felt very strongly that my interests were safeguarded. Communication was clear and through. There was no judgement when I made decisions, and the whole process and experience, so far, has been positive

Huge mistake to pick significantly more expensive quote from Lawhive for my property purchase. I avoided cheaper providers as I thought Lawhive would be better. Later I found out that my counterparty (sellers) made the same mistake and also deeply regretted their choice of Lawhive, we later bonded over our shared frustration with Lawhive as we saw exactly the same behaviours on both sides.
From a rocky start when original quote was quickly revised up a few times (they apologise but know you will unlikely cancel after time passed and you are in a rush) I instantly paid and patiently waited. Lawhive will always tell you it's normal to wait very long on other parties but as it turned out it didn't have to be that way. After wasted days and weeks you would learn that something got stuck and could have been unlocked if the advise was not to just wait.
Even when all documents finally do arrive, solicitor will often need a week to "compile a report" l which is often a summary with hastily copy pasted mistakes incl wrong addresses, dates, wrong amounts etc.
It's also apparently normal for a solicitor to go on a 3 week xmas leave and after a return to be blocked out for yet another week for urgent work only.
Imagine paying for your searches in September, these being ordered very late but still generated on 16 Dec and receiving a copy finally on 29 January!
Try sending your signed contract to Lawhive, it won't just get lost in the mail a few times but they will also insist it's not unusual for 9 days to be needed before the mailroom can process it..
You will want to know that Lawhive subcontract mortgage lender activities to Woodstock Legal but under some extremely bad turnaround times so that it may take 3 weeks for Woodstock to process a document after you wanted a week for your Lawhive solicitor to process it. And if someone spells an email wrong you will only find out at the end that for 3 weeks nothing was actually happening.
Expect solicitors to not respond for a week but do respond within minutes of a complaint involving support team.
Expect solicitors to ignore your questions for days or weeks but when you raise a complaint they will respond on the same day with a very long email explaining in detail how in their opinion you are wrong and your complaint makes no sense.
Expect solicitors to spend more time convincing you that all this is normal and nothing is their fault.. than the time they spend actually doing value add work that you paid for
Outstanding experience overall. Although the initial sale didn't go through, we successfully completed a new one. It's reassuring to have personal interaction when necessary. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process of selling our property.
