I’ve had a really disappointing experience with Leaders in Manchester.
Throughout my tenancy, responses to maintenance issues were consistently slow. Problems took far longer than reasonable to be acknowledged or fixed, and chasing for updates became the norm rather than the exception.
Customer service overall was poor, and communication often came across as passive aggressive rather than helpful. Messages and emails frequently felt dismissive, which only added to the frustration when trying to resolve genuine issues.
Raising complaints didn’t improve matters. There was a clear inability to properly handle or resolve concerns, with little ownership taken and delayed or vague responses throughout.
The most concerning part of my experience was at the end of the tenancy. I was issued notice to end the contract just a few days before Christmas. This timing left me with no realistic way to start the house-buying process until weeks later due to office closures and lack of support. The impact this had on my plans and stress levels could easily have been avoided with better communication and consideration.
Overall, the lack of responsiveness, poor complaint handling, unprofessional communication, and the way the end of the tenancy was managed means I wouldn’t recommend Leaders based on my experience.

About three months ago, I reported a rodent infestation immediately. Despite my notification, I received no response and had to hire an external contractor to address the problem. They promised reimbursement for the expenses, but I have yet to receive any payment, and my follow-up emails have gone unanswered. Additionally, we faced a boiler breakdown, leaving us without heating for four weeks, which created very uncomfortable living conditions. Their slow response showed a clear disregard for the wellbeing of their tenants.
The representative has been incredibly helpful during the entire process. They arranged a property viewing for me promptly and ensured everything was clear and simple. Very friendly and professional. I highly recommend collaborating with them!
