SCAM! BEWARE.My wife's credit card was charged £49 subscription renewal. She had never heard of the Learnmkt.com and certainly had not wittingly signed up for any subscription to them. I am in the process of recouping the £49 from learnmkt.com. My wife emailed them asking that any and all subscriptions be cancelled and the payment of £49 be refunded. This was as advised by her Bank's Fraud department. She received an automated reply as this was in a Sunday, so waiting for a proper reply and of course a refund. In the meantime, froze her card. They could not cancel the transaction as it was still in pending state. This is probably a matter for the police and Action Fraud, although Action Fraud should be probably be called In-Action Fraud as they never seem to do anything. It is not just the money but all the effort in resolving the issue, and they should be made to pay for the inconvenience to those they have duped. That would be justice, rather than simply getting banks to refund. Another problem is that Learnmkt.com may just simply change their name and continue scamming hard working people under a new name.Perhaps the government should focus its AI advancements on protecting the population rather than on taxing them.
Be Aware SCAM - I have just been charged £49 I dont recognise this company or ever entered into any kind of contract and the HTLM of the website seems suspicious. I have informed my bank and as a result of it I will now need to change all password, bank card and will report it to google pay . Unbeliebable.
It's an online scam. I was using Google pay and something quickly flashed up on screen and disappeared. This allowed them to take £49 out of my account even though I hadn't even been on their website. Never used them never contacted them. Go through your bank and tell them its fraud. Hopefully you will get refunded through the bank. Its also a subscription so they will continue to take £49 off you again if you don't stop it
I'm unsure how this so-called £49 Subscription was instigated, as it was taken from my pre-paid currency card which I only use when abroad & only occasionally via ApplePay.What I DO know is that the payment was taken only a few days after I returned from a trip to Prague. There were instances during our stay where {when paying bills using ApplePay} the waiters added tips to the bill {one which duplicated the total cost}, hoping you wouldn't check the amount being taken, or request a receipt.Hence, I can only think that a waiter or similar was either instrumental in clicking on this 'pop-up', OR the card details were somehow passed-on to the scammers in some way. That said, upon contacting the provider of the currency card, they immediately blocked the card & said a refund would follow within 45 days.As per other reviews, I have today had an email from Learnmarkt saying my Subscription is cancelled, so hopefully the refund will be provided soon by the card provider.Without doubt this is a fraudulent scam of some kind regardless of how they obtain your card details so beware & contact your card provider for the refund, rather than Learnmarkt.
