Review Time
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction regarding our recent stay and park visit during the holiday season, which fell far short of expectations. As a family of four with young children, we planned a two-day visit, enticed by the heavy promotions of a festive and family-oriented experience. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we discovered that many rides were closed, significantly limiting our activities during our visit.
The lack of clear communication about ride availability prior to booking was frustrating. While it was possible to check this information through an app, I did not anticipate that such a large portion of the park would be inaccessible. This made our two-day ticket and hotel stay feel like a poor investment.
Moreover, the promised festive atmosphere was minimal. Besides a couple of shows, there were few other holiday-themed activities, and many experiences, such as the Santa visit, came with an extra charge. Our purchase of the digital photo package also felt unjustified, as we only received two photos due to the ride closures.
I believe there are improvements that could be made, such as providing height stickers upon entry to avoid long waits for rides that children cannot access.
We were not alone in our disappointment, and clearer advertising regarding ride availability and festive offerings should be prioritized. Overall, the misleading promotion of a vibrant holiday experience contrasted sharply with the reality, leaving us feeling let down during what was supposed to be a memorable first visit.
Several baby rides were not operational, but the full price was still applied. Most food outlets were also closed. The machines for attractions consumed money without functioning properly. There was extensive construction, and many neglected rides have been out of service for a long time. When I raised my concerns, I was informed that the website mentioned only a limited selection of rides would be available. However, this selection was not reasonable considering the full price ticket.
I would give zero stars if possible. I booked an overnight stay and two days in the park for a special Christmas event. I contacted the service in September regarding ride availability, specifically the flight attraction, and was assured it would be operational. However, in November, I learned that four major rides would be closed for the holiday event. There was no festive atmosphere, and the customer service offered me the option to cancel for a 20% fee or change my date at an additional cost. I was also told I had to pay extra for an additional day as the current promotion was for new customers only. My children were very disappointed, and I felt the company only cared about profit. I have spent over £400 and now face additional charges to reschedule. This is not the magic of Christmas! Last year was wonderful, but I will not return.
A significant number of baby rides were closed, yet full price was still charged. Most food outlets were also shut. The machines for attractions malfunctioned, taking money without working. There was extensive construction, and many rides appeared neglected and unused for a long time. When I raised my concerns, I was informed that only a limited selection of rides was available, which was not reasonable given the ticket price.
I booked a two-day overnight festive stay, only to find most major indoor attractions closed for maintenance. These were available the previous year. They offered a refund minus 20%, which was frustrating. The after-sales customer care was terrible, leaving my children very upset.
I attended the Halloween event today and found it quite disappointing. Staff were unfriendly and many food outlets were closed, with long queues of over 60 minutes for rides. The park appears tired and in need of updates; my previous visits have shown a rapid decline in quality. I doubt we will return.
This was one of the worst and most expensive days out I've ever experienced. The queues were so long that we spent seven hours and only managed four unimpressive rides. Food prices were exorbitant, costing £72 for two adult burgers and two kids' pizzas. I was disappointed, and my children didn't enjoy their time at all. Shame on the company.
I was very let down this time. We visited during the Easter holidays and had a much better experience than this October. The ride queues were excessively long; we managed only four rides from 10 am to 5 pm, with waits often exceeding an hour. The lodge stay was nice, but the food prices were outrageous, costing over £100 for a simple meal. I doubt we will return due to the high costs and limited ride availability.
My visit was an awful experience due to overcrowding. The number of visitors was excessive, making the park unmanageable. Waiting over an hour for most children's rides is unacceptable, especially given the brief ride duration. I wouldn't recommend this park at all. If they implemented sensible crowd limits, I might reconsider visiting.
