UPDATE: Received the following from love2shop..
"These particular types of cards are provided by a third party who works with us, they are reloadable and can be topped up through your account on love2shop.
Unfortunately there is a set list of exchange options for these particular cards due to there being a discount on top ups. While you may not be able to exchange for retailers, you can still exchange for dining out cards and restaurants as well as enjoy a discount on your top ups making spending in stores cheaper!
While you may not be able to spend these cards with Primark there are still plenty of options across the high street"
My response is what a load of...... Will never use love2shop again and good riddance. Will get actual store gift cards or give cash in the future.
I received a £15 card and a £20 card. Went to primark to buy my son a pair of jeans apparently you cannot use until you exchange card from love2shop for another and you can only do this on love2shop website but first you have to register and give this sham of a company all your personal details EXCEPT, once you have done this, you cannot exchange if your card has a value of under £20, you first have to pay this cowboy company to top up to £20 and then it will allow exchange.
This is not a gift card but a PITA card. Have told all family members not to get me another. I would rather receive nothing than one of these cards again.
To make matters even worse there is absolutely not information until you look on the website. No information arrived with the cards at all.
I have sent you the details as requested except for the reference number. I do not know what this is or where to get it from... The gift card is logo'd Verian but on the back it states LOVE2SHOP. I have registered on your website, I have added the gift cards in my account on your website so not sure how you can state that it is not one of your cards unless of course you allow any gift card from any company to be registered on your site. I can also send you a picture of that card where is states LOVE2SHOP ON THE REVERSE.
I purchased a 40.00 love to shop gift voucher from Asda for a birthday to give as a gift. The person I gave it to has not been able to use it despite attempting to activate the card online and attempting to contact them, which was impossible. It's money down the drain that we will never see again. This is the second time this has happened. I was given one a year ago and was never able to activate it or use it or contact them about the issue. I won't be buying these again. You will never see your money again.
I asked for the missing information regarding my registered card, but the representative refused, saying it could only be done with a replacement card that costs £8.90. This was a terrible experience, and I would advise against using their services, as it is very challenging and the support team is completely unhelpful.
The service seems appealing unless you're not located in a major city. They claim to offer ten online options, but one is a duplicate, and another is simply a sub-brand. Additionally, they list their own options. For physical locations, there are only twelve shops available, all poorly stocked and spread out. It's frustrating to sell cards that can't be used online. Moreover, the restrictions at many stores are confusing and arbitrary. For instance, certain locations don't accept cards at concessions, airports, hospitals, railway stations, or motorway services, where most of the stores are found. Some stores, like HMV, are not usable in certain regions, while others like Currys and Boots can't be utilized online, despite their products being available there. It’s amusing to think about going to a pharmacy just to buy themed plasters. If you're not in the city center, these cards become practically useless, benefiting the company without providing value to users. After paying for parking and searching through the limited shops that accept the cards, it's rare to find anything worth purchasing. The common response is to order online, but of course, you can't use the card for that. If this service were a person, they would be the type who forgets to salt their pasta water.
Received a physical card as a gift. Tried multiple times to register and activate it through the website and various browsers but kept encountering error 3050. Customer service was closed when I called, and after downloading the app, I attempted to request a code to my email about ten times without success. This has been a total waste of time, especially since the item I wanted to purchase with the voucher is no longer available. I’ve never used this service before and definitely won’t again.
I unfortunately fell victim to a scam purchase. I reached out to the support team, and they provided me with a straightforward form to fill out. After submitting the form, I was refunded within a few days! I was truly impressed with how swiftly this was resolved, especially during the holiday season!
Claiming this card is more complex than gaining admission to a prestigious university. The website's efficiency is comparable to watching paint dry. Honestly, I would save time and energy by robbing museums rather than dealing with this card. If you consider gifting this to someone, ensure your lawyer is on standby.
