Disappointing Support from Children's Services

The support from Children's Services has been incredibly disappointing. They allowed a student social worker to repeatedly contact a domestic abuse survivor parent, making several calls daily, even after the mother requested communication through her advocate. This request was ignored multiple times. They issued a 'voluntary' Child in Need plan and escalated matters without any incidents, simply because the mother insisted on involving her advocate. This approach sends a troubling message to survivors about the importance of boundaries.

Terrible Experience with Children's Services

The experience with Children's Services has been extremely frustrating. Poorly Managed Council

The council appears to be quite incompetent. Interacting with them is very frustrating. After receiving a council tax bill that I do not owe, two months after leaving the area and notifying them, reaching out to them has been a nightmare. It took an hour to finally connect with a friendly representative who confirmed the error. This council is in dire need of management reform.

No Response to Inquiries

I reached out to the relevant departments via email but received no replies, so I attempted to follow up with phone calls. It was a frustrating experience as I couldn’t get through to either department. After calling the switchboard seven times, I gave up in despair. I submitted feedback to the council in hopes of prompting improvements in their services.

Extremely Poor Customer Service

The customer service here is appalling! I have been left on hold for over an hour multiple times, all due to errors in adjusting a council tax bill. After long waits, I finally got through only to be met by a rude representative who seemed indifferent. The lack of adequate customer service is a significant issue that needs urgent attention.

No Empathy from the Council

The council seems more willing to let me lose my job than to help rehouse me and my children. Our rented property is plagued with mould, and despite previous attempts to clean it, it keeps returning. My children’s health is suffering, and I am on the brink of losing my job due to the lack of support from the council. When I reached out for help, the response was simply that they couldn’t assist us. It’s disheartening to feel this way, especially with young children involved.

Steer Clear if Possible

This area is filled with unhelpful and rude individuals who seem to believe they are doing a great job. There is a lack of support for regular citizens while resources are mismanaged. The focus appears to be on those with issues rather than providing assistance to the community. It feels like dealing with a soulless bureaucracy.

Frustrating Roadworks

I can't believe the council approved all these roadworks simultaneously! A 15-minute journey turned into a 55-minute ordeal due to gridlock. Just yesterday, it took me 40 minutes to reach the motorway. This is a complete waste of my time.

Frustration with Roadworks

If I could give no stars, I would. Who decided to schedule all the roadworks at once? It’s incredibly frustrating to see my commute home extend from 20 minutes to an hour because of ongoing road closures. The lack of communication about these changes has been unacceptable, especially since these same lanes were closed recently. It feels like my time and money are being disregarded.
