Accused me of fraud when I tried to send money to my own revolout account and they make you come in person. AVOID it's fraud to have money that you don't keep with metro bank according to them
UPDATE 2hrs later they have manged to get my zopa bank Frozen aswell im deleting the app and letting my account expire
The staff were friendly, polite and professional when I opened my business accounts, and the in‑branch experience at the start was positive. Unfortunately, everything that followed has been consistently disappointing.
I opened a business current account and a separate business savings account for my property company. The savings account never appeared in the app or online banking, meaning it could not be accessed. I repeatedly called customer services and visited the Croydon branch several times, but the issue was never resolved.
I also opened a business savings account for my IT consultancy, which took 2.5 hours to open. The advertised rate was 4% AER, as soon as I deposited funds, the interest being paid was only less than 1%. I escalated this multiple times, yet no one provided a clear explanation or correction.
Metro Bank’s does not understand that a business is a separate legal entity from an individual, each with its own regulatory protections.
After a year of persistent chasing on the above issues, there was no progress and no accountability, I am now closing all my accounts. I have advised friends, colleagues and family not to bother with Metro Bank, as the operational issues and lack of follow‑through make it an unreliable choice for business banking.
If possible I would put 0 start. It’s been 4 weeks they blocked my account. Alll my savings and fund was at the account just because my friend sent me money from his business account. I have provided all the documents they requested. Still no update, no timeframe. Calling them everyday, they don’t care. I am already homeless staying with my friend for now.
I believe this bank will close soon. They got huge fine From FCA.

I visited a branch today to update my personal details and discovered they offer safety deposit boxes. This is fantastic for me, and I plan to take advantage of it. This bank keeps locking me out of my online banking, and it took 25 minutes to reach someone on the phone. They repeatedly asked me to reset codes, but it still didn't work, blaming me instead of acknowledging their error. Absolutely appalling service, and this has happened multiple times. Now I have to drive 11 miles to the branch with my computer for them to resolve it.
