Stunning piece of art

Received my painting from Mickart yesterday. It's a stunning piece. Already hung it on the wall.Had a few issues with delivery times, but emailed Michael who has kept me up to date, and apologised for the longer than expected lead times. Painting was well packaged and beautifully painted. We have more bare walls to fill, and will definitely be using Mickart again.

Real bespoke service

At first I was hesitant to purchase paintings online, especially the ones that are hand painted. However, the communication was great - all my questions were answered and explained. I think it’s worth noting that they provide real photos of the ready paintings before dispatching - for me it’s a real bespoke service. I don’t do reviews often but I’m so satisfied with my purchase that I wanted to support this independent brand. To summarise the quality is amazing, the delivery was on time and the communication was clear.

Painting not delivered - lots of excuses!

I ordered a painting on 25th May 2022. I expected it to be delivered within a 8 week time frame. I chased up numerous times via email, Instagram and by leaving voice mails. The first response I got was to apologise that the painter had received a high number of orders and there would be a delay. The second response I received - was to let me know that my painting was lost by FedEx. The latest response (5th Sept) was the painting was recommissioned and was with the framers ready for stretching and a final quality check. I chased again a few weeks later by leaving a voicemail. I didn’t hear anything back, so I contacted my bank to file a disputed transaction with the Mickarthome. My bank has refunded the money to me (so I'm not out of pocket), but the investigation can take up to 8 weeks to finalise. A shame as Mickarthome has lots of nice paintings at a good price and it would be good to support an independent retailer. They have a good Instagram page and website and one of their paintings was featured in British Vogue. This is what attracted me to their website and gave me the impression that this was a reputable company. I would recommend that the reviewers (with negative experiences) to file a disputed transaction with their bank or credit card company.

16 weeks and still no painting!

They say on their website that delivery is between 3 and 6 weeks, depending on the type of artwork you order. I ordered a piece of art on 31st May 2022, it’s now 16th Sept and I still haven’t received it, nearly 16 weeks later! They keep fobbing me off with different excuses, the latest one being that Royal Mail wouldn’t hold the item over the bank holiday but they told me prior to that, that they would be sending it on Wednesday on a 24 hour delivery, which meant it would have been with me well before the bank holiday! As I’ve yet to receive my artwork, I can’t say whether it’s any good but I can say that their delivery times are a complete lie and they will come up with excuse after excuse as to why it’s taking so long. Will never shop with them again.
