Worst company ever and such a scam. I live in Louisiana and my mother passed away. I called Miles Relocation to obtain pricing to move the hutch and china buffet from Ohio to New Orleans.
They took my deposit and subcontractor showed up and they called me from my mother’s house to tell me they wanted extra pay to wrap the hutch. They clearly knew from the recorded call what furniture I was moving. I was told from Tony that they would provide white glove service and wrap everything for protection. However when the movers showed up they told me that I had to pay 250.00 extra to move the hutch because it was glass and they were not communicated too correctly. Mind you I had already agree so 1600.00 move price. When I tried to tell the movers that I had clearly defined what was moving they told me it was not their problem and I needed to either pay the additional monies or they would cancel the contract and keep my 600.00. I was in a jam because my mom’s house had to be cleared that day so they held my furniture hostage until I paid.
To make matters worse Veronica in the office said oh well you signed a contract and there is a cancellation fee, I ask her to please listen to both the recorded calls and she said she did not have time to do that, horrible customer service and they could have cared less and did not even offer to make this right. After all who prices a hutch move and then charges extra because it has glass when they already had that information. They knew I was on a time crunch and did not have time to call anyone else and they took advantage of that.
Veronica was rude and would not even let me speak to anyone in management. The subcontractors was rude as well no Customer service skills at all. I plan to also reach out to BBB for my complaint.
I know it’s only 200.00 but it is principle for me and people should not be allowed to do business that treat their customers this way. Do not use this company!
YOU GUYS ARE TRUE PROFESIONALS - I'M REALLY GLAD I HAD THE CHANCE TO WORK WITH YOU. EVERYTHING WAS DONE ON TIME, CLEARLY, AND TRE PAPERWORK WAS HANDLED PERFECTLY. MOST IMPORTANTLY I DIDN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT A THING - THE TEAM TOOK CARE OF EVERYTHING.
Hooray! Our move from Iowa to Wisconsin is all done. Huge thanks to Alex, who organized everything-from explaining the process and providing a great quote to arranging the truck and movers, drafting the contract quickly, and staying in touch throughout. Our belongings arrived safe and sound. Everything was fantastic, many thanks to the whole team for making our move so smooth and efficient!
Special thanks to the crew for taking off their shoes while working inside the apartment-it was much appreciated, especially since I have a toddler and it helped keep the space clean and safe. I’ve already recommended them to everyone I know, and I recommend them to you as well.
Props to the manager at Mile Relocation-he had everything lined up real quick such as fair quote, paperwork handled smooth, and kept in touch at every stage. Now about the downsides: the movers weren’t in any hurry. Took em 4 hours to load, and they got lost finding the place. My stuff made it safe, so I’m satisfied.
I was super impressed that Mile Relocation also offers storage. With cali traffic and crazy timing between moving out and moving in, having a clean, secure storage spot made life muuuuch easier!!! Definitely was a great plus for me cus I needed extra time and space during my move!!!
We ended up packing most of our things at the last minute, but the movers went above and beyond to help. They wrapped anything that needed extra protection and were very supportive throughout the process. Even when we realized, despite all our lists, labels, and planning, that we had forgotten a couple of boxes, they took it in stride and packed those up without any fuss. One of the biggest challenges was getting a very heavy sofa down seven flights of stairs after the freight elevator became unavailable-they tackled it without hesitation. In short, they handled all the usual moving-day chaos with patience, professionalism and an amazing attitude.
I'm truly grateful to the Mile Relocation team for a job well done! They quickly organized my interstate move at a fair and reasonable price. Alex did a great job getting the truck and crew lined up right away, they arrived exactly when promissed. All of my belongings made it safely, intact, and right on time. I highly recommend Mile Relocation!
Do not use this company. Extremely dishonest. First thing they sell you a bill of goods they cannot deliver on. Even after speaking to 2 of their reps, they flat out lied about their services and what was on in terms of packing requirements. They say a 2 week delivery time unless you pay a 1000 dollar expedited fee for delivery within 3-4 days. After an extensive 2 hour plus call with their "QA" rep over all items in the house and storage unit, along with pictures and video, they still significantly underestimated the space needed in the truck for the move. We were initially quoted 10k for the move, and when the moving team finally showed up, several hours late, the price jumped up 2k. They brought too small a truck and ended up discarding a few thousand dollars worth of our possessions when we left. Which we only found out about when our realtor sent us pictures for the junk hauler. They also did not have the space for our storage unit and refused to correct that error and wanted to charge an extra 2k to pick that up as well. After many phone calls with Victoria, they refused to acknowledge their deception and mistakes. So we still have to find another mover for our storage unit. Thru did refund us 1k because the delivery drivers were well over 24 hours late from our promised delivery window. And on the complaint I filed with the better business bureau they flat out lied about the conversations I had with the delivery driver. When our possessions friendly arrived they were haphazardly packed, which was another lie their sales person told us. Thankfully there was minimal damage. There was morning positive about the experience with them. Hopefully the complaints I filled with the FTC and state attorney general put this garage company out of business. And as you can see in their response the dishonesty continues. The driver called me and said he wasn't going to make it that day. Said he'd be there at 5 the next day as he was still a state away. Didn't end up showing up until 9pm the following day. They had pictures and video of the additional items and STILL got their size estimate wrong. They're is nothing honest about this company. From Chase the salesperson, to Victoria their " customer service" Rep. They lie lie lie. And as you can see they gaslight, and manipulate words to try to cover their failings. DO NOT trust this company. They will br hearing from the Carolina State attorney. The Florida State attorney and hopefully be getting shut downP.s. there WERE NOT more items than discussed. Your QA person failed to get the counts correct. He was told 40 boxes, but the estimate only had 30. If you had any integrity you would have sent audio to me so I could point out every single thing your person neglected to put on there. What you keep failing to acknowledge is the shelves that we were told by both Chase and the QA person that were on to be wrapped in plastic and all the items could stay on them. It was the additional 300cu ft of space that you LIED about.
This was our first experience hiring movers. Mile Relocation was fast in accommodating our move in date. They arrived in the in the 8am-9am window as promised. In the new home they put everything where I asked. I am satisfied a lot
