What a hassle

What a hassle! I started an account for our granddaughter! I had to have the money transferred from my BOA account and I am the executive of the account. It’s her 17th birthday and she wanted the monies to get her first car! After much jumping thru hoops I can’t just have the money transferred back to my account but instead they need to send a checkbook in her name which then we have to cash a check to get her car! They said if I could prove it was for her car they would reimburse me! It was my money that was put in and now I’m questioned as to what she needs the money for! Really? Seems they want the checking account fees now!

Completly fed up with this company

Completly fed up with this company. They are criminal. The way they lock me out of my account every few months then I gotta hack my way back in. Completly criminal and I hope they don't last long. Now I have access and can't get my IRA transfered to a different brokerage.

Getting a little frustrated with them

Getting a little frustrated with them. I have been waiting for 3 months for inheritance to be rolled into my merrill inheritance IRA. Last we she told me that the paperwork was complete and my inheritance would be rolled over into my account within 5 days. I look this morning no money I called them and got a whole new response of my birthrate was incorrect. How? I opened and IRA and sent my ID already. So I sent it again. They they told me my two sisters have a list to do. We all keep getting the run around. I am going to file a complaint with FIRNA if this is not straightened out. This is agonizing. It is bad enough to have to deal with you brother and mother dying. But having to make us jump through hoops hurts in a bad way. No compassion. And serious worry about this corporation and their business practices.

HORRIBLE!!

HORRIBLE!!! Ask 9 questions with robot to Identify you then ask 6 questions to verify you AGAIN.20 minutes on hold to tell me they did NOT send a check they promised was in the mail 21 days ago. Which is why I am closing my account.

Broker made mistakes every time I…

Broker made mistakes every time I requested a distribution from my IRA, either sending too little or too much. Calls to customer service were endless, most of the time I was passed on to 2 or 3 people. Once I was told to call an office that had already closed for the day. Lost 1/4 of my dad’s investments in 6 months. Don’t trust them with your money.

Transaction nightmare

I’ve been with other brokerages, and I have to say, Merrill Lynch is one of the worst I have ever conducted business with. My decision to transfer my accounts over to Merrill Lynch was being a Bank of America customer and wanted everything under one platform. I have only had this accounts open for 7-8 months and it’s been one nightmare after another trying to transfer money from one institution over to Merrill. In addition, I have never seen so many advisers who cannot assist you, or return phone calls, reply back to emails, simple customer service skills, and good luck speaking to a manager. Even when you provide poor surveys and comments on the Merrill website, a manager will not speak with you. Which explains the reps…seeing managers set the tone for the office. I believe the real problem here is 3 items: 1) this back office processing department which all transactions go through. This is the most irresponsible department. I don’t even think they could wash dishes if they were asked to.2) an old Bank Of America system (Edge), 3) Poor leadership. Also, when you cash/trade stocks, it takes the 4 days to settle in your account(s).My husband clearly was the smarter one. He had me move my accounts over to Merrill (he was skeptical of Merrill). After watching the circus he is happy he stayed with Fidelity.

I was trying to book a hotel in St Tropez for August holiday and my CMA debit Visa card was declined. Phoned up Merrill 6 times in the course of 2 hours and NOBODY could help me???? Reduced me to tears and lost room. Merrill is from HELL Taking my money elsewhere

Merrill Lynch cannot get its algorithms…

Merrill Lynch cannot get its algorithms correct. If you buy or sell a stock during the day they cannot recalculate your unit cost. They also fumbled a split penny stock for me costing me $70,000. They also advertise 24/7 customer service but what they have is people answering 24 hours a day to tell a person that you can't get a hold of anyone until 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. only between those hours that's not 24-hour customer service that's bull
