I’m so tired of these non USA companies that think they can just come into our market to rip off Americans. I signed up for a trial and immediately encountered problems with a glitchy/slow platform. Tried to cancel the trial right away but the subscription was not on my Apple subscriptions, which made me very confused as I was pretty sure I started the trial using iOs/Apple. It took me some time to figure out that I had to cancel through their website instead, and when I get there I was not able to click cancel because the site was so slow and the window closed as if it crashed down.

I actually thought their trial was 7 days and not 5 (why 5? Is this on purpose?) so when they charge my account, I immediately contact them and request a refund for $59.99 but they flat-out refused it even though I tried to cancel before the charge hit.
This seems to happen to a lot of people based on other reviews.

I obviously disputed the charge with my bank and will be reporting this to my state Attorney General Consumer Protection and the FTC (federal trade commission and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

Stay away from this Mob.co.uk app if you value user friendly platforms, easy cancellations and fair refunds.

I love the recipes they’ve been a lifesaver with my busy schedule. Especially for meal prep, they save so much time and energy. The only thing I’d suggest is adding a video, as visual representation can make a big difference.

Easy recipes yummy food

I’ve been looking at Mob for a while and after looking at the reviews on Reddit and some of them influencers that I follow on Instagram, I decided to try it for a year. I haven’t been disappointed. I’m still getting used to the app, but the recipes and dishes are fairly easy to make and delicious.

Don’t get lured in by the free trial!!

Don’t get lured in by the free trial. Despite not using it and not seeing where to cancel it in my Apple subscription, I emailed Mob to cancel and conveniently I did not receive a reply until after the subscription charge had come out. This company is not interested in helping, they literally just want your money upfront as their cancellation process feels intentionally difficult to cancel. The email help at Mob is now not working as my messages are now undeliverable and going into their spam account. I suspect I’ve been blocked for challenging this model despite being professional in my reponses. It is very clear Mob are not interested in refunding my money. Wish I’d read the reviews before as it’s clearly a scam!

Unable to Access Free Trial and Asked to Pay Again

I signed up after seeing this recipe website advertised on Instagram on 21 February and believed I was starting a free one-week trial via Apple Pay. However, I was unable to log in at all, and the site then repeatedly prompted me to pay again via Apple Pay.There was no way for me to access or manage an account without being asked to make another payment, which immediately raised concerns. I therefore decided I did not want to proceed.What worried me further was reading other reviews from people who reported difficulty cancelling subscriptions, despite the advertising making the process sound simple and risk-free. This significantly reduced my confidence in the service.I contacted the company to cancel while well within the consumer rights cooling-off period and requested confirmation that no funds would be taken. The overall experience felt unclear and stressful rather than straightforward.I would advise others to proceed with caution.

AVOID!

I signed up for a free trial. It lapsed by 1 day and I was billed for a year. I am veggie and didn't find a very good range of veggie recipes which is why I didn't log on after the first downloading the app. I contacted customer service and they sent an automated dismissive email response saying they would not refund me. When I tried to respond to the email they blocked my email and I am no longer able to contact them. Appalling customer service and a total scam company. Avoid at all costs!!

BE VERY CAREFUL! I wanted to try the free trial, downloaded it then went to apple to cancel it but it never showed upIn my subscriptions, so thought I didn’t subscribe. Never used the app as I thought I never subscribed then got charged £34.99. I asked for my money back, was told NO REFUNDS, check it out we have lots of nice recipes. Why don’t you give me a refund? I don’t want to use your app?

Love this app

Love this app. The recipes are easy to make and totally delicious. We love that there are lots of different types of meals and also lots of great lunch meal prep options. My favourite feature is that you can pick the number of servings and it adjusts the ingredients!

Don't get lured in by the free trial

Don't get lured in by the free trial! It was very hard to cancel. Somehow I had two accounts and couldn't cancel the trial in the app. By the time I worked it out, I'd been charged AUD$70 and they refused a refund. Very disappointing, wish I'd read the other 1 star reviews before doing the trial. Customer service refused to help.
