Review Time
As a background, I did my Engineering in Computer Technology in year 1991. I joined PG -AI/ML BA certification from McCombs school starting Nov 2025, in the process of certification i am getting into the rigor of structured learning after almost a break of 35 years from academics. My objective is to get myself acquainted with the Mathematics , Science and Technological advancements and understand each of those in light of me having difference in learning that i have compared to other learners. In light of these parameters, i would like to rate my experience a 5 star experience and details for those are enumerated and described below :
1) Very simple, easy and structured learning : The platform provided sufficiently goes from the basics to advanced learning.
2) In depth palatable short lectures and the reinforcing the concepts by well designed test quizzes.
3) Able to contrast the mathematics which has evolved in past 100 years and to superimpose and understand how the technological advancement are getting it abstracted to higher levels.
4) Choices of platforms - Python, co-lab , google drive and the understanding of those.
5) The mentored sessions conducted by Industry experts.
6) The Osmotic learning with the cohort.
7) and the great support from program manager from Great Learning, who is always available to encourage and address my worries and finding innovative ways , where ever i require help. Couple of examples which i would like to mention here are
a) She addressed "difference of learning " and encouraged me with TIPs during the first few Quizes which i was not able to do too well.
b) During my unavoidable vacation period she helped with alternate solutions for me to excel.
I would highly recommend (i have recommended to friends ) this course to anyone who wants to pursue a better understanding OR want to grow further expertise in the area of data analytics, product management or business analysis and personally i feel this is a Industry agnostic program and shall be considered.
The course helped me implement the theoretical knowledge in to practice.Round the clock support my program office specifically Manzooma is appreciated. The mentors are experienced and patiently address all questions.
I recently completed the Post Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence for Leaders from UT Austin, delivered in collaboration with Great Learning, and it has been a truly transformative experience.
What stood out most was the programs ability to connect business strategy, decision science, and AI into a clear leadership framework. This experience has strengthened my ability to identify high impact AI opportunities and build trusted, scalable, AI driven decision systems. I highly recommend this program to leaders looking to move beyond AI theory and build practical, enterprise ready AI products.
The Gen AI course put on by Johns Hopkins through Great Learning provides a tremendous depth of understanding in an efficient delivery. It was systematic, stepwise and efficient, delivered by industry leaders on a reliable platform. It would have taken me years to try to cobble that knowledge together by myself by poking around the internet.
I had a great experience with the PG AI/ML Course. It provided a strong and structured introduction to AI and Machine Learning concepts, making complex topics easy to understand and apply.
The support staff was extremely responsive and very considerate in extending deadlines whenever I had personal commitments, which made balancing the course with other responsibilities much easier.
Overall, it was a very good learning experience. The course equipped me with practical skills and confidence to start applying AI/ML techniques to real-world use cases.
I had a highly rewarding experience with the Certificate Program in Applied Generative AI from Johns Hopkins University, delivered through Great Learning. The program struck an excellent balance between strong theoretical foundations and hands-on, applied GenAI use cases.
The Johns Hopkins faculty brought deep expertise backed by real-world projects and research, offering practical insights into AI/ML models, LLMs, prompt engineering, and applied GenAI system design. The online instructor explained complex concepts clearly using concrete examples, making the material immediately applicable.
As a Staff Engineer working on adopting Generative AI for coding and engineering productivity, this program has directly strengthened my ability to evaluate, design, and apply GenAI solutions at scale. The Great Learning team was professional and highly responsive throughout. I would strongly recommend this program to senior engineers and technical leaders looking to build applied GenAI expertise.
My experience in PG AI and ML is quite good. The course has a lot of new learning but the recorded lectures, notes, weekend live sessions, quizzes and monthly mega projects make it quite interesting. The support staff on WhatsApp is tremendous. They always help to help quickly. One thing I must mention is about the fee deadline which if you miss the deadline the portal deactivates straight away. Some flexibility should be there around the fee deadline.
The professors were great - they'd explain the concepts but avoid getting too deep into the mathematics while still providing enough material and pointers for people like me, who want to delve deeper into the maths.
The weekend mentor prepared very thorough presentations with case studies and practical hands-on coding examples. In fact these were the only mandatory part of the course and hence were designed to be self-sufficient.
The assignments were very well scoped and pertinent to the lessons.
When I signed up for the course I just wanted to see what all the hype was about with AI. As I progressed, I went up the learning curve very quickly on programming, and understanding the purpose of AI. The purpose is create something new. I was provided all the tools, knowledge and experience required to reach that goal and feel very comfortable with its applications.

The team at GL is very knowledgeable, friendly especially your assigned program manager who makes sure you are sufficiently setup to succeed, grow, and ultimately master many AI/ML concepts. I highly recommend this problem for leaders, individual contributor, program managers who looking to augment skill sets with AI/ML. This program is intensive, yet friendly and encouraging while providing a truly robust curriculum that is state of the art in its delivery. I would suggest better feedback for technical answers as the turn-around time is lags especially when working on assigned projects but as long as your question is input with adequate time then the returned response is not a problem. Special shutout to Aditya who was very professional in spite of my many, many questions.
