I heard about the pet sensitivity test through a Shihpoo group as I searched why my new puppy scratched so often. I was looking for an alternative to the allergy prescription from the vet. This test was so easy. All you need to do is first reach out to them, sign up, they email you a label within a day or two that you will use for your sample. The sample is a few strands of hair. I cut hair from his tail since he is a short hair, but you can use use short hair too, just need a few more strands. Within a few days I got a response from them that they received it and then within a day or so you get the results. Six days total from purchase to results. Easy to read. It includes detailed information about next steps and they include a 24/7 Vet for free for 30 days. I highly recommend.
I had a disappointing experience with this service, as the tests showed zero accuracy. It's wise to research the tests beforehand to avoid wasting your money, as refunds are not offered. This is one of those companies that seems to prioritize profit over customer satisfaction.
I experienced remarkable results with my Yorkie, who used to scratch her chin incessantly, which was quite frustrating. After switching her from beef-based dry food to a chicken-based option, it was astonishing how quickly she stopped scratching—within just 3-5 days. She had a high sensitivity to beef and pork, so we eliminated those meats and any dog food containing those ingredients. I'm grateful for the sensitivity test for pets. A friend of mine also had her two dogs tested, and they are doing wonderfully as well.
The company is misleading. You only realize after receiving the results that they are not for allergies. Additionally, they automatically enroll you in a subscription and make it unnecessarily complicated to cancel. I'm unsure about the accuracy; the results suggest no sensitivity to something we know she reacts to. The company claims there are options to opt out, but I couldn't find them. I believed I had opted out, yet I was still billed. Locating anything on their site is challenging. It took me 45 minutes just to find the cancellation option, and even after following the steps, I remained subscribed and had to contact the support team for assistance. It took multiple emails of generic replies before someone finally unsubscribed me. This seems like a deliberate tactic to deceive customers and it's unacceptable. Shame on the service.
I appreciated being notified when my pet's fur sample was received. Additionally, the notification email let me know when I could expect results. When I had not received them a couple of days after the window, I reached out to inquire and received a response from Cornelia in less than an hour. She attached a copy of the results to her response so I could see them right away. The report is very thorough and gives us a place to start looking for something our cat can eat that will help him get healthy again.
I have read many reviews of this service, overwhelmingly they are positive. All of the negatives are oriented around issues that are clearly printed in the information prior to purchasing. 1. I see complaints made 2 days after the sample arrived at the testing facility because the client wasn't notified the sample arrived. This is moronic. Be an adult and have patience, complain if there's no communication after the specified time frame... Not just because you need to feel special and are so insecure about your package.2. Overwhelmingly I see complaints and accusations about "hidden extra charges" these are the same charges mentioned on repeat about the 24/7 vet line you get the first month free. Be a responsible adult, read the contract, cancel the subscription. Stop being a crybaby because you are too illiterate of lazy to read what's plainly written in the agreement.I have found no ligitimate complaints, just impatience and laziness from helpless crybabies. I'm embarrassed for you people and look forward to testing my yorkie when I can afford it. I don't have much to spare, and have to budget to do this, so reading the reviews is super important, and other than BS, the overwhelming majority love this service, hopefully my little girl will benefit from it.
This company are a complete rip off the results I got was rubbish, they take your money then you have to send everything in yourself, they don’t send u any special packaging, after they have continued to take money off my card without my knowledge for services that I haven’t authorised!! Stay away .
