Sam D from support flagged up an issue with a database table in phpMyAdmin that prevented backup. He was quickly onto it to repair it and resume the backup. I had some basic questions about onboarding to their site but couldn't find the right article to help me out. So I started a chat and Arunkumar was VERY helpful and made everything super easy. Would highly recommend!
We using namehero, we have a business domain with them, it's expired without any notification, top of all we pay every unpaid invoice, The domain expired Feb 6, 2026 - I received zero emails despite ICANN requiring registrars to send renewal notices.
Checked all email folders (inbox, spam, junk) - nothing received. No invoice notification 30 days before expiration, no renewal reminders, no post-expiration warnings.
By the time I noticed (5 days later), the domain was in redemption status with a $150 fee. Their TOS conveniently states renewal notices are "courtesy only" and they're "not responsible for failure to notify" - essentially admitting their notification system is unreliable.
The $150 "registry fee" they're charging includes significant markup beyond the actual registry restore cost - adding insult to injury for a problem caused by their poor communication.
Website technical problem with domains fixed pronto.
