We did bump into multiple issues along the way and many of them are impossible to predict in advance. ICA was a great partner the entire time, beyond helping to retrieve documents, they advised and went to bat for me multiple times both at the municipality where I lived and at some specific Italian Consulates in the USA that were very slow to engage. I really feel like I could not have done it without their help. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get Italian citizenship. I will also use them again in the future if the need ever arises again for my family. I honestly can't thank them enough.

Pursuing citizenship was of vital importance to me and trying to find a trustworthy law team was challenging given many businesses in the field all claiming they could help..I took a chance on ICA in 2019 based on some positive reviews and from my initial, complimentary inquiry with Soemi, I knew I made the decision and felt at ease. Not only did she encourage me to pursue a 1948 case, but she was a reliable colleague throughout the whole process. Soemi was incredibly knowledgeable and on top of everything that needed to be done by providing timely updates and taking care of all necessary paperwork and legal tasks both in the states and abroad; a truly arduous process.Soemi continued to guide me through my hearing date and once I was deemed a citizen, Chiara assumed control. Just like Soemi, Chiara solely focused on me as if I was her #1 priority; I felt like ICA royalty. She was always a phone call or email away and took time for any question I had. Every single task following my citizenship ruling was accounted for in a timely fashion from registering me in my home commune and in AIRE, obtaining my Italian birth certificate, and even scheduling my passport appointment in the states. Other firms do not offer this level of guidance and care that ICA does. I mean this when I say that every staff member truly devotes him/herself to you and frankly they feel like family to me.I urge anyone reading this to please steer clear of the negative reviews. Spend time on ICA's website reading the testimonials or Instagram page where there are positive case outcomes, helpful podcasts and timely updates regarding any changes in the Italian legal system that could affect citizenship. Many individuals balk at price or are impatient thinking that this can be done immediately. My advice is to please be patient as citizenship is not a simple or easy process. It will take time, but ICA makes it as painless as possible and they are worth it. Marco, Soemi, Chiara, and Federica have become like family and are just an email away to chat about updates, travel plans and any questions I may have. Loved everything about ICA. I spent years trying to figure out if I had a legal case for citizenship. I turned over some birth certificates and they did the investigation. From the moment I committed to their service they made sure to keep me informed and kept the process moving as fast as possible. I loved working with Elena and the others and every time I reached out they promptly responded. It was about a 2 year process from start to finish (mine was a court case in L’Aquila) and if it weren’t for their expertise and professionalism I might not have won. But just to be fully transparent, this is not a company or service where you “buy” your citizenship. ICA cannot guaranteed citizenship. Only the Italian government decides, or a judge. When I signed up ICA fully disclosed this fact to me. What they do is a.) professionally assess your case to see if you’re a good candidate; b.) do alllll the paperwork for you; c.) argue your case in court if necessary; and, d.) make sure you have everything before, during and after, including you passport appointment, which was so worth every penny. And so, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

On February 25, 2025, I entered into a service agreement with Italian Citizenship Assistance, Inc. for assistance obtaining Italian citizenship through jure sanguinis (by descent). I made final payment to ICA of over $5,800 on March 4, 2025. I was told I would meet with my case manager within 14-20 days.The contract provided that ICA would assist me in gathering documents, preparing applications, and navigating the Italian citizenship process. At the time of contracting and payment, I was eligible for Italian citizenship under then-existing Italian law.-On March 27, 2025, I contacted ICA requesting information about who would serve as my case manager. Despite ICA’s promises to assign a case manager within 14-20 days of final payment, I never met with or received services from any case manager.On March 28, 2025, the Italian government announced changes to its citizenship laws, rendering me ineligible for the citizenship services contracted for.-On March 30, 2025, upon learning of the law change and my resulting ineligibility, I immediately contacted ICA requesting a full refund of the $5,800+ payment, as no substantive work had been performed and the contracted services had become impossible to provide.Despite my timely refund request made within two days of the law change announcement and despite no work having been performed by any case manager, ICA has refused to refund any portion of my payment and continued to retain the full payment. I scheduled a Zoom meeting with Marco Permunian - the earliest availability was August 13, 2025.-On August 13, 2025, I met with Marco Permunian via Zoom, and he promised that I would meet with a case manager that week. He insisted I might still be eligible, despite all evidence to the contrary. Since I had never met with a case manager, it’s not clear what his plan might be. -On August 22, 2025, I found that again, this was a lie. I still had not heard from anyone, had no case manager, and again requested a refund. They denied the refund, claiming that this time they really would provide service! I continued to ask for the refund over the next few weeks.-On October 6, 2025, ICA offered an insulting refund of 1,000 euros.-Stay away from this company.
