NEST is fine — I’ve worked at three different places.
My first job used Now Pensions for about 10 years, and NEST transferred that pension pot over without any problems.
However, I had another job in between my current one, and they also used NEST. My current employer uses NEST as well, but I now have two separate NEST accounts — one set up by my previous employer and another set up by my current employer.
I’ve asked several times for the two pots to be merged into one, but my requests have been ignored.
Although I have had my pension with this company for years and it has been OK, lately their website has not been fully functional with "please try again later' appearing in the 'contributions' section for days on end! This resulted in a delayed payment finally going but appearing as 'unsuccessful payment' on the site! Not good!!
I've had an absolute nightmare trying to access my late husband's pension with Nest. The automated telephone service is difficult to navigate and after minutes of explaining when you do finally get through to a human being, the staff are unhelpful. They have long wait times and when they call back put the phone down before you can speak. It's disgusting. I've been trying for weeks to access my husband's pension and haven't got anywhere. Would definitely not recommend this pension. You can't get it back out.
You say you've put a request in for more info with trust pilot but I haven't been made aware of this. Empty promises I expect. No resolution in sight.
We use this company as a long-term investment for our future retirement. When you see your surname misspelled for the first time, you may think it is simply a normal human mistake. However, a few years later it happened again this time with a spelling error in my first name.
At this point, I believe these actions are not accidental but are being introduced deliberately. I would like to emphasize that I have not changed my address or my name in the last nine years, so there was no reason to edit or modify my personal data at all.
If this is how a company we are supposed to trust with our future operates, it is deeply disturbing. I have serious concerns that one day my money could disappear just as easily as the letters from my name.
The site is easy to navigate and I have never had a issue with Nest, i pay in a little extra but again maybe altered or stopped by myself in my account and I don't have to ring anyone.. perfect
What more can I say? It's incredibly straightforward—just locate your policy number and the name of the insurance provider for the pension you wish to transfer, then submit it through the user-friendly online portal. After that, you can relax and wait; there's nothing else to do. You'll receive a notification once the transfer is finalized—easy as pie!
I worked for a major company and made contributions to my pension through this service. As I approached retirement, I wanted to know my entitlements, but their system provided me with a very low estimate. I couldn’t get in touch with anyone regarding my contributions, including voluntary ones that were higher than what they reported. I received no information at all. Eventually, I withdrew my funds and transferred them to another provider. After seeing an advertisement for a different service, I felt compelled to warn others to avoid this one, as my experience was very unsatisfactory.
I have a pension with this provider and my recommendation is to switch to another one! They completely mishandled my account, leading me to pay 40% tax for the next six months due to a lump sum withdrawal, as they seem unable to communicate effectively! Now, the tax office thinks I have two jobs! I'm extremely dissatisfied! I would share my account ID, but I'm still waiting for it to be sent—that's how slow they are, not to mention the two letters I'm still waiting for since September!
I had another pension with a different provider and needed to consolidate the funds. The entire process was incredibly easy and everything was resolved within two weeks, allowing me to relax completely as the service handled everything for me. I only had to provide minimal information, and they took care of the rest. I appreciate the support!
After numerous calls to the support team, I continue to receive incorrect information and excuses. They are still withholding my payout due on October 31st. This service has been dishonest, and I have reported them to the financial ombudsman and my local representative. I may pursue legal action to recover my funds.
